Can someone explain what has transpired recently with Roy and Guillory?

All reports from last weekend stated that Guillory had a great official visit and Roy has basically been hanging around the facilities for months now. All of a sudden, over the past 48 hours, insiders are saying they are headed to bama and we are on the outside looking in. What’s the deal besides the obvious money drop and charger gift?

There has been Bama talk longer than 48 hours.
Staff just needs to stay on them.

I agree they need to stay on them, but it seems that the heat has been turned up in recent days about these two and bama.

same thing it is every year.

bama just has that pull.
lsu needs k'lavon and another player front the d front to get picked In the first or 2nd round.
once that starts happening again more guys will stay home.
this shite isnt that hard to figure out.
Nick saban has an aura of winning championships and getting players picked in the first round.

saban has made guillory feel like a priority and takes his rings out and says u want this or go to lsu

Damn shame. I guess they’ll look as uncomfortable and anxious as sopsher did this year when they announce knowing damn well their heart isn’t in it.

It's not hard to figure out. Both visited Bama and bought into what they are doing over there.

We're in a good place for Guillory. I've said all along Roy would be a battle til the end. This isn't one that will go quietly into the night... New King of the castle.

This is exactly right. If you think about it Guillory simply wants to look at the two schools defenses with all this change talk going on with LSU. They want to see some real change. I do believe that and I do believe that if they see it, they will be at LSU. He didn’t move it to signing day. He moved it until the bowl games basically.

Roy is just having fun. That’s what it looks like to me anyway. I think LSU’s Defense and DL will have some fun this season so I’m not so sure I would worry about it. We already have quite a few great commits. Add Roy and Guillory would be icing. But at the same time I have a feeling that once the season gets underway, we’ll have interest from all over. There will be other recruits who show their skills over the next year as well. This is an ever evolving process for both sides so we’ll see how it ends up.

The OL is where I want to see some real change and some real talent interest. I mean I want to see both but I just feel that the defense and DL will show some things this year that we haven’t seen in a while and that will tip the scales our way. I hope the same for the OL is all.

These kids don’t care about winning championships. Saban tells the bag men who he wants and then washes his hands as to not get caught. They get more money than their parents make in 2 or 3 years thrown in their faces. That’s what it is, period. “Business decisions.”

The best way to change the trend is to start competing for championships and develop more 1st Round Defensive lineman. Its been 10 years since we've had a 1st Round pick from our defensive line. Seems like Bama has one every d@mn year.

Coach O has to prove it on the field that he's developing a championship pedigree.

It's kinda funny, couple of weeks ago, the class was filling up fast and LSU was gonna have to process Jackson and Berry to make room. [which was never the case]

There are 4-5 DT's committed and 3-4 DE's committed depending on where they line up.

Some guru's say LSU is getting everybody, others are saying some of OOS commits will bounce.

It all comes down to, can Orgeron practice what he preached.

To be the man you have to beat the man!!! In EVERY facet of the game.

Enjoy the ride!

Are there any out-of-state dlinemen LSU is just getting on or has upped their interest in?

Sadly, Michael Brockers and Barkevious Mingo were our last first round selections in 2012 and 2013 (although Danielle Hunter had first round talent that wasn’t developed). You bring up the age old chicken or the egg argument. Can we compete for championships by developing lower rated players, or do we have to start getting the studs in the trenches before we make the jump? I think it’s much more likely that we need the studs to win.

Kinda funny Bama took like 7 DL for 2019. I’m pretty sure that their playing time will be limited extremely limited until junior, senior year.

Yea, I don't get this one. I mean, why would he be hanging around like that if he isn't planning on going to LSU. I just hope LSU can replace them if they do go elsewhere. Getting Eric Taylor was a good start.

Keke was like six years ago.

Show these boys what Danielle Hunter is doing.
