I have a feeling that no offer to Etienne is because of Akers though. I think I remember seeing something about Akers saying where he wants a chance to 'get his feet wet first', as the above poster said. So to me it's more about being 'featured' in a year or two, hence the lack of Etienne offer to avoid scaring him away since it is such a close race.

Changing the subject doesn't make your point. Rather it appears to be an indication of your animosity towards LSU. You stated kids don't want to come here but we have regularly had top 10 classes.

Fsu is loaded at running back. Not sure how jimbo can promise him being the starter the moment he steps on campus. We should offer both of Florida states current running back commits ASAP. I'm sure they don't appreciate that being told to Akers and not them

the cb run came as a result of Wiltfong making his pick. Even he doesn't know and admits it. Just Intel and frankly many just going on the fact we didn't have an OC when the dead period started.
I personally think Julukes possible uncertain future here may be weighing more than other reasons listed here. He may not return and he's the lead on Akers

I saw no logic in the Juluke rumors. I might turn out to be wrong in that if Canada is demanding some changes. But hell, why would Canada want to jettison a NOLA guy who's a damn good recruiter. And those rumors were pre-Canada.

I want Cam Akers BAD. But we really will be fine if we can get Ettiene in this class along with CEH, and Fabian Franklin next year. Those are some talented runningbacks.

some of you are dense beyond belief, its as if you think recruiting doesnt even matter, as if you think a guys skill level magically doubles the moment he puts on an LSU jersey.
bama has won 4 of the last 7 titles and has had the last 6 number 1 recruiting classes. im sure you think thats a random coincidence.
we MUST get guys like Akers. this is not even up for debate.
