I am watching him now. Kid runs with no fear. He is cut like Guice and starts both ways. Kid is a freak!

Similar in terms of Spencer's solid frame/build, but Cam has much better speed, agility, quickness and acceleration, imo.

Spencer was very athletic and a multi-sport athlete in HS but ran a 4.62. Worst forty time was 4.72. He has very little lateral agility.

Akers runs an estimated 4.4 (and it shows on video) and has great vision, quicks, explosive burst, and can accelerate through a hole and distance himself from defenders.

But I do agree they both appear fearless and relatively freakish.

He ran that at the Nike Opening which is laser timed. That's a legit 4.4 40-time.

I'm college that was true but now he has above average lateral agility if not good. It's so weird watching him in the NFL. At LSU he was about the most one dimensional, down hill running rb you've ever seen and all he did was just bulldoze people. Now he's one of the best receiving backs in the NFL and has very good moves.

I'm really not worried about Ole Miss to be honest. You'd have to be crazy to go to a school that's under investigation like they are. They won't be able to play in a bowl for several years and the entire coaching staff there could be gone in an instant. Akers is smarter than that to go there.

That's because his dad has actually received a few perks from the friendly Ole Miss locals. The dad has loose lips and at this point Ole Miss boosters could give a damn about what's coming they are "all in" till the end.You have to be concerned with that.

I was told by a pretty good source two weeks ago that Cam was leaning towards LSU pretty hard.

Akers scored 7 touchdowns last night in the state 6A championship.

Id be very surprised if he's not at LSU.

Difference is he has 4.41 speed that Ware didn't. Ware tearing it up with the Chiefs by the way.

His dad wants (or wanted) him to go to OSU. His mom wants (or wanted) him at Ole Miss and close to home. From my understanding, he wants LSU.

This may have changed recently with the Orgeron hire, but I will be shocked if he is not in purple and gold next year.

Ware gained a lot of weight in college. Not sure if it was the Cajun food or he was told to do so by the coaches. He's playing at a better weight now though and while he doesn't have elite speed he's always been super athletic. He's more than just a power back.

He told Ole Miss, "Thanks, but no thanks"

He decided to stay home this weekend.

Doesn't shock me. No major recruit is looking at Ole Miss right now. They all know what's about to happen to that program and want no association with it.

this was after LSU put unnecessary weight on him. He weighed 228 at the combine, prob weigeds 215 after he reemerged in the NFL last year. He is much more quicker and faster then his first stint in the NFL
