Curious to see how the board might think of losing CR will soften the blow because we have Jennings and Brandon for at least the next 4 years. . At least they can run and not be a statue to a blitz of there blind side. . I know its a thousand post about CR but just curious aboutIis having a DT QB will help us out.. Geaux Tigers!

Harris doesn't have to worry. Not nobody getting by Clapp or Brumfield.

I thought Jennings was more of a passing QB that could run a little bit rather than a true DTQB?

LSU will have a great OL without CR.

LSU needs LF

If Porter doesn't leave, just slide Pocic over to LT when Collins most likely does. Isn't he tall as hell?

OT has never made or broken a team!!! you never hear anyone say "man that OT is a freakn game changer!!!" RB, DE, DT, CB and WR are game changers. I really believe Les doesn't hound these guys for there committment. If they want to commit to LSU then we would love to have them but last i checked LSU has contended with bama game in and game out without having a number 1 recruiting class.

We'll just grab another recruit to fill his place. It's not like we are going to replace him with a D2 player. We will still grab an elite tackle.

the perception of many is far worse than the actual football loss frankly.

We have talent there. People always step up. But Hawkins, Pocic and clapp are set...

I see your point, but NOT having good OT depth is just as important, as you say it is not important.

Remember,

Tillary and Thomas are NOT locks for next year. Oh, frick it, NOBODY is a lock anymore.

Getting quality depth at OT and OL is crucial. The OL and DL are where games are won. We all know this.

Look at it more as a unit. The better you improve a unit (or the more depth you have) the better the QB, RB etc will perform.

Regardless of the QB's label, we need a solid LT, and we'll get one.

Losing Robinson hurts, but its not like the cupboard is barren. We still have some studs in the O Lin e and a bunch of very talented targets as well.

Honestly, the best thing we can do is to have Collins go first round next year. Robinson probably looked at Bama and saw how their top linemen go top 2 rounds. At LSU that's what we do with our D Linemen, and we sign them like its nothing. Start that on O and we will begin to reap the benefits.

C-Rob is a luxury, NOT a necessity people.....
Sure, he's from Louisiana and a great player, it'd be nice to have him on board to make us that much deeper and better at position, but this is LSU..... We have others who are fully capable....

you need good play from the OL no doubt, but the point I assume he is making is that 1 particular OT doesn't break a team, which you seem to agree with. I've used this example before, but last year we used Josh D an oft injuried G at LT and the OL had arguably their best games against USCe and Bama, the 2 best defensive fronts we faced. The perception problem is the biggest issue.

Next year is a great year for tackles in LA. We may not get someone as good as CRob, but we'll get someone comparable.
