Not getting my hopes up, but it's possible they made this big USCe set up not knowing that he was signing with LSU instead. Kid didn't want to make a big deal in front of the cameras and classmates, so he signed LOI to LSU and kept quiet about it. Not probable, but crazier things have happened. Either way, this is the best class LSU has ever signed according to 24/7 ratings. I don't understand the hate.

Im really just not sold on the Burch signed with USCe narrative.
1. His mom didnt look enthused from the beginning
2. His mom declined for any interviews
3. What's the point of discreetly signing and flipping over your LOI?
4. He never said anything about actually playing at USCe. He just said he was excited to be with his friends for 3-4 years and thanked coaches.
5. His lack of declaration of really anything could have been out of respect to Muschamp.
6. Him retweeting an "official report" of his signing could very easily be making him laugh due to it not being true.
7. Why was all of this so awkward and vague in the first place? Seemed more like a Senior banquet than an announcement ceremony!
There really hasnt been anything truly official about any of this. In a matter of fact, it actually makes me think he signed with LSU more than anything!
Until he officially comes out and says hes excited to play for the Gamecocks or USCe has received the LOI, I dont buy it.

I'm right there with you. This is a bizarre scenario but whether people despise it, i'm not giving up hope on LSU here. Partly bc I trust and like Vol. This situation actually validates his credibility in my opinion.

How in the world does the scenario above not draw more attention than just saying "I commit to LSU."
He is going to USCe.

Well, one, it wasn’t an announcement party. It was a signing party. The way that school did it was awesome. Burch maybe didn’t want to show up his boys plus muschamp was sitting 30ft away.

Seems like he's done a pretty good job of writing off the spotlight on him. Its hard to deny its suspicious due to the fact he never said he either way.
No one has real hard proof that he signed a LOI to USCe either.

I can confirm I work part time for the catering company doing his grandma’s party in NOLA, will let y’all know what I find out.

The LOIs for the players were laid out by other folks before the players sat down. Burch could have signed “Mickey Mouse” on that LOI and then flipped it over just to keep up appearances. The school seemed intent on avoiding drama but either Burch or his mother still wants to get his own spotlight.
