He reminds me more of George W. the way he appears to not have a clue, the arrogance, and riding daddy's coat tail.

Seems like a pretty close similarity to me.

Way to point that out!

oku and bryce are boys. here's what oku said after committing when asked about bb:

Tennessee still remains in the race for the nation's top recruit, Bryce Brown. Oku is open to Brown joining him in the Vols backfield, but he made it clear that he doesn't plan on backing down from any competition.

"If he comes then he comes and if he don't then he don't," Oku said. "I committed when Jarvis was there and I don't care about competition. I talk to Bryce and he's a good guy, but I hope he don't feel like he is going to come in and run over everyone. I'm not scared of competition and that's the way I am."

If Les Miles or Larry Coker can do it, so can Lane Kiffin.

It would have to be an unofficial, you can't officially visit a school twice. And bringing the folks the weekend before signing on your own dime is either serious interest or serious waste of money.

it kills me how everyone said UT will be able to recruit but asked if they would be able to coach. Orgeron, Thompson, CLK, and Gran are renowned recruiters if you ask anyone. but lord behold, when UT starts reeling in bluechips all of a sudden we are cheaters.

is it due to the success that Saban and Miles have had at recruiting that you don't think it can be surpassed? is the ball rolling faster than you thought it would? or are we stepping on the toes of the heavyweights and it's got you worried about your backyard?

Dude, please don't compare your coach who is 20 years younger in age and iin coaching experience than our coach Miles who is 43-11 with a National Championship, one SEC title, 2 West titles, and two SECCG appearances and 4-0 in bowl blowouts...followed by the #1 recruiting class in the country..

coker could not recruit.. But went 24-2 with 1 MNC of his own. off Davis players.

Miles is damn strong as proven the last 4 years..

your coach is 0-0 all time in his HC CFB career...he has a very good staff, I give him that...The success he may have will be in spite of his arrogance and folly..

right now, your coach is at the bottom looking up at coaches like Miles, Spurrier, Ritch, Urban, Saban, Nutt, Petrino..all these guys have had tremendous success, your coach hasn't done jack.

LSU fans respect the UT program and tradition, and typically, most of us pulled for you when you played UGA, UF or Bama...

But due to Kiffin's arrogance and stupidity, we don't like Tennessee too much right now, especially when the fans like your self have this giddiness that is found in nothing other than spending tremendous money on assistants and a huge risk from a Coach who is unproven..

I can appreciate a fresh beginning and being excited, but gezzz, your guys have lost reality...and to bang on our coach is just stupid

It's one thing to hated because your good..another to be hated for your arrogance and zero accomplishments, and stupid comments that sound like it came from a middle school bully, than it does from someone who has actually done this rodeo before and acts like it.

Your fan base should be a little worried, but instead your just following this nutty arrogance over recruiting and big hires.. Big deal..

Be humble or be quiet is what UT fans should do for now.. 5-7 last year and a new coach who is 0-0 suggest I am right about this..

A little proverb for you "pride comes before the fall"

Larry Coker destroyed Miami's program.

They had a MACHINE when he took over for Butch Davis and now they wont have even ONE guy drafted this year.

Damn, never thought I would see the day when a Tennessee fan talked about LSU as a "heavyweight" and "stepping on our toes".

BTW, isn't the "I want everyone in here to have their shirts off when we come back in here" bit going to get old for the 5th year senior who has had to come running into the locker room all excited every recruiting weekend for the last 5 years?

Apex hit it on the head. Let's talk about your "staff". Kiffin BOMBED in his only stint as a head coach and bombed miserably. Ogeron BOMBED miserably in his only head coaching stint. Both Kiffin AND Ogeron have had egg on their face in the media on their "peculiar" antics. Nice staff. Glad you have them and not us. I was so glad Ogeron went to you instead of us. Baffoon comes to mind. Hope he can keep his shirt on down there and keep his Yaw, YAW, YAW's to a minimum. Can't wait to see your K try a 72 yard KG this year too!

Good points about our inexperience headcoach. Just b/c a coach fails as a headcoach doesn't mean he is a bad assistant, ala David Cutcliff.

What makes your arguement ignorant is the fact that Orgeron coached at the highest level in SEC and now he is our D Line coach/recruiting coordinator. Did you hear that, a SEC headcoach is not a coordinator, he is a position coach. Not to mention, the fact LSU was willing to pay him $900,000 to coach your defense. I think O at $600,000 is a pretty good deal.

Mitch Browning was the Offensive Coordinator at Syracuse. Now he is a Graduate Assistant at UT. Did you hear that, not a O coordinator, not a QB or RB coach; a f'n GA. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

Monte Kiffin was a Super Bowl winning Defensive Coordinator in the NFL for 30 years and now is the same at UT. Did you hear that, SUPER BOWL CHAMPION. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

Eddie Gran has put 10 RB in the NFL with 6 currently on rosters. He has 14 years SEC experience and may the best at the collegiate level. How/Why Auburn let him go is beyond me, but another good deal if you ask me.

Compare Lane Kiffin to former Oakland coaches, thats the only fair comparison. That is unless you want to totally ignore his experience under Norm Chow and his OC success at USC. I think those were pretty good teams. Who is the OC now at USC, Jason Bates. I guess he sucks too.

Comparing Miles to Coker was unfair and that is not how I meant it. Les Miles/LSU is the only other SEC team that I like. I love his coaching style and your coaching staff. I think he's top 4 in the SEC but not top 10 nationally. Like Coker, he needs a great staff and a powerhouse school to be able to recruit. Like them two, I think Kiffin (with help), can do what they have done.

Miles is only 25% of LSU success. The staff is the other 25%, recruiting in LA is the other 25%, and LSU as a whole is the other 25%.

Lane Kiffin may only be 15%, but his staff is probably 35%. Great recruiters would be the other 25%, and UTs tradition and history is the other 25%.

JMO, but I think the last 2 arguements are fair.

Cutcliff is a good Head Coach and Ole Miss made a huge mistake in getting rid of him IMO.

As far as Kiffen, I think he has done an incredible job so far, as long as he doesn't get popped for anything with the NCAA. He has already had a couple of small snafus though, so I'm not convinced that he isn't doing more then that. The only real mistake I think he made is telling the recruits that were switching to UT to keep it quite until signing day to frick the team they are currently verbled to. i.e. janzen jackson and the florida kid. I have to think that will come back to bite him.

Why do you post things so negative and so untrue? Did Les personally tell you this? Don't you think that our recruits have access to the internet and might read this? Chicken, again, could you start deleting these unsubstantiated posts?
