is he really that good since he is playing lower class competition (see ludwig and derenbecker} and is he definitely coming to LSU?

Yes. He is definitely more athletic than anyone LSU has on the roster. Plays more of a big man role so hopefully he can reach brad's height (6'8)

Brad was awesome in high school too, and like you said, he was 3 or 4 inches taller. Not so great once he played some boys his size. Unless this guy grows, I can't imagine him being an impact player for a college team. Gotta grow!

he is a sophmore. I grew 3 inches after my sophmore year. I'm 6'4.5" 225 and I pale to his stature. I think that is a good possibility.

He is so much more agile than his brother. Also, just like with David Gomez, Beckman tries to develop and outside game with his big men and not just post them up every set. That will help

I bet his attitude was all over your chin. Dude is a freak phyisically. He works only as much as he has too, I'll give you that. He was throwing down windmills one of the games I had him in and not getting back on D... once it was already a blow out.

Just needs to be properly motivated and disciplined

Isaac led all scorers in that game with 18. Episcopal came on late to win by 3, with Brian having 14. Low scoring game.
He's a good player but the notion that he would currently be better than most on LSU's team is simply untrue.

Agreed. Isaac had to do a lot more for his team than Bridgewater fwiw. I'd say overall skills, the two are about even. Both are very good athletes. Bridewater has an edge inside but Isaac is a better ball handler, passer and shooter IMO.

Why are we even comparing a future college post player with a future college guard?

You'll have to ask Tiger Authority and jr33 who initiated the discussion.

Because he'll need to continue to grow to play the post. The guy has a ton of athleticism but if he is going to play 3 at the next level a few inches, which is very possible, is necessary. I could see him developing into a Ronal Dupree type player, which is great. So yes, they are two different players, but Bridewater needs a few inches before we can consider him a different collegiate prospect than Isaac on the next level.

It's a possibility, but he's been 6'4 since I first played against him in 8th grade.

Preachin' to the choir TA. Bubba's the one wanted to know what brought up the discussion.

You obviously know nothing about this kid. He has a great attitude and has fun playing ball. He is a really good kid that works hard on and off the court. I have watched this kid for two years and have really never seen an attitude problem at all. His mother is at every game and cheers for every kid on the floor. She is a very nice lady who is no nonsense and has raised some good kids. The kid can flat play. He is going against gathers on Friday in the semis, should be fun to watch although EHS will be underamanned against Riverside, from what I have heard they are the best team in Louisiana at any level.

Not saying this is untrue but I've seen her get kicked out of a game or two

I've never seen him play personally, but I've heard he takes a lot of plays off. By that I mean he scores a couple of baskets then just disappears for a long stretch then finally reminds everyone he's on the floor again. That's coming from someone who has seen him play twice. Other than that, I have no opinion on him. Hopefully he's as good as advertised!

As a guy who has officiated 3 of his games this season, the kid doesn't complain. He'll ask you maybe one question a game, and is actually interested in your explanation of a rule or game situation.

Now his teammates can be a bunch of little pricks, the point guard whines more than anyone. But I really like how the Bridewater kid carries himself

As I've said before its hard for him to complain when he gets all the calls his way every game.

Hey King let me ask you something. we played pickering friday night in pickering..As a referee how is this supposed to be handled. We are winning by 3 with 4 seconds left on the clock and someone passes out in the stands on about the third row. the three officials sat under the goal for about 15 minutes. A doctor went down there and came back and said there was nothing wrong with the kid he just needed some fresh air, the kid refused to leave, when the doc told a guy from ehs that, told the referees "let's play"
Needless to say things got a little shakey until the sheriffs came into the stands. When that happened the refs got it going and we were out of there in about 5 minutes. My question is shouldn't the officials at least go over and see what is going on, so they could get the game going again. I am not sure how long we would have sat there had it not been for the "let's play" guy. It was a good 15 minutes. Just curious.
