Which is similar to Thomas in physical stature?
Using your criteria, Which receiver on LSU's roster isn't similar to others.
They are all extremely athletic, have good hands, and good/great speed.
The players certainly aren't the same height and neither are the recruits.
Marshall and Thomas seem to be the same height and speed, but Marshall probably will probably leave after this season.
Hall and Brooks are both 6’3, in the same mold as Thomas.
LSU doesn’t have any WRs signed or committed the last two cycles over 6’1

Bama is clearly settling if they take a commitment from MJJ. They have been on BTJ for quite some time. He has been mocked on Bama boards. Hell, Julio Jones didnt call MJJ within the last month, but (hopefully) he did waste his time on BTJ
Why are they settling? They would have taken him even if they weren’t going after Thomas.
So we’re “settling” for a top 200 high 4 star recruit?

Might repeat myself a little here. Bama has shown, through their efforts and actions, such as having Julio Jones' sales pitch, that BTJ is the highest priority WR on their board.
It is very doubtful that either LSU or Bama would take 5 WR - there are limited counters available

I agree. It is pretty much splitting hairs at this point. Either player is a luxury to them

Based on what I’ve heard and read, the momentum bama built is gone. Hilton pulling the trigger was big. Thomas will be a tiger and i think bama is pressing other targets now

BTJ is better, I agree. However, landing MJJ is not settling. He has been a priority target for us just like BTJ

We can take 27, we have plenty of space
There are also rumors that the NCAA will lift the limit this cycle

That’s not entirely true because they plan on using Arik Gilbert and Kole Taylor like receivers. A bunch of tall receivers is not what college offenses are looking for anymore. Guys who can run great routes, play in space, and have elite athletic traits are paramount.

No there aren’t—that doesn’t even make sense. Why would they let teams sign bigger classes?
