Spare me the thanks dad, or thanks Brian comments. I'm not his dad, cousin, brother, coach, relative or anything else.
Just have a look at his video.... HE'S LEGIT!
Brian Thomas Junior Highlights
He doesn't have the accolades YET because he had to split carries with 4 Multi-year starter senior backs last season. This season he is the only returning RB so he will get his touches. He already has a few BCS schools interested in him, including Georgia Tech who's already been down to see him I believe.
Lynxcat you seem to be the guru around here what you think?

Don't have time to look at his film but we seem pretty stacked at RB for the forseeable future, how sure are you he could crack our rotation?

He looks decent. IDK if we have the room.

Would he be willing to switch to corner or safety? Because other than Lache we are down at RB for the next two classes.

Hope he gets to camp. I'm curious to see them evaluate him at corner or even slot with those measurables. Might have to compete with ATH spots with the likes of Liggins and Ef Reed for in state spots

I know the states stacked, especially at running back. I wasn't saying LSU had room for him or anything.
I was just adding his name to the list of good prospects that will be coming out of the state next season.

Great to see Louisiana having an embarrassment of riches next year. Hopefully it will motivate all players to work even harder to earn a LSU scholly, and for those committed to stick to their word because we have a chance to be very selective next year. Wonder what next year would be like without scholly limits for LSU

Good size and speed. I can see him being someone of interest.

Not to knock the kid, but this tape looks to be sped up. Unless the small white DBs that catch him from behind are running 4.2 40s.

I thought so too. But he still did look to be pretty athletic. If he's close to that 4.4 number then maybe with his athleticism he should get a look at OLB or Safety.

I'm the one who recorded and put together the video and it's not sped up one bit.
I'd be more than happy to mail the raw copy of the footage strait to you and you can convert it and see for yourself. My email is clhstrojans@yahoo.com

Also, make sure you let the entire video load before you watch it, cause I find if just try to watch it as it goes it drops frames and does make it look faster.

Can he play safety/lb?
He might end up growing into a WR. We run the triple option and don't throw much but he does look good catching the ball out the backfield the few times he was asked to do so. As a sophomore he was only about 5'8-5'9, by the time spring came around he had grew to right under 6'0 so he may have more growing in him.
Not that that helps lol, Louisiana is just as loaded at WR next year.

He won't get a look at WR. Defense is his only shot at LSU in 2011.
Has he ever played corner or safety?

does CL only run 2 plays?

He looks decent. I can see why GTech would be down. He's perfect for their A back role.

Coach Stubbs at Nicholls State needs to try to get kids like this, Ledet from EDW to commit to Nicholls. If he can start getting some of this kids to buy into the program it would be awesome. Try to build Nicholls into an Div.II elite program. I know that is only wishful thinking, but why can't it happen. As much as we love football down here, it can happen.

Nahh, we have about a dozen by my count, but hey on any given play we have 3 options, thus the triple options.
Next year we should be able to open it up more with Caillouet at quarterback. We were a bit limited with Savoie at qb cause he's only 5'8-5'9 ish and we had to roll him out the pocket to pass. Personally I think Caillouet should have been the qb this year and put Savoie at the FB and Brian Thomas at one of the wings.
