Why are you lumping Sentimore in with Montgomery? They are 2 different players.

the both play either DE or DT

and one schollarship..Both Studs

Only room for one of them, is my reasoning

Sentimore was headed to LSU, then something changed his emotional favorite... Somebody said something.. "Its possible Miles said, wait a minute, we love you, but we got Montgomery, maybe,so you will have to wait a bit"...

You people are starting to sound like the Bama idiots that we made fun of last year when they were crying over Chris Tolliver and making up conspiracy theories about Edwards. Please get a hold of yourselves and settle down. I'm sure Sentimore would be a great addition, but by no means would he a centerpiece of this class.

That's any kid. They're making decisions about their future. Not what fans want. So folks need to step back, catch your breath and realize that for us, it's just a game, for them it's about where they will be going in their life.

I was born and raised a LIFE LONG Alabama fan..........if I was in the position to be recruited by Alabama but didn't get an offer, but another big time program offered, dang right I would take it, even if it was Auburn because I loved the game, wanted to play, found coaches who believed in me from the start, and felt I could have a chance to compete and move on to the next level.

Wow, an alabama fan that had a rational thought...

What fans want? Both fan bases want him, so what is your reasoning..It's about what he wants to do in his heart...and opportunity etc...

Kinda sucks if true...

Sentimore is not a DT in Bama's scheme. He is a DE.

And you think he fits well there? Wait, I'm not going to ask you, of course you do. This kid's future in the NFL is at DT. I wouldn't blame him for going to Bama if LSU didn't offer. But the only thing Bama has to offer him is the fact that they gave him an offer before he proved up his grades. Big friggin deal. I'm sure Saban is telling him that he "believed in him" and Les Miles didn't. But that is silly. Nick took a flier on the kid in hopes of a miracle. If Sentimore qualifies, it's because of what HE did; not anything Saban did for him.

He's an LSU fan. His family lives close. He is a more natural fit in LSU's scheme and he has an offer. If it's all about honoring the commitment to a man who knows no such honor, that's fine. Naive but fine. But this kid is making a huge mistake.

Sentimore will not be at LSU or Alabama. The best he can do is JUCO.

If that is the best he can do, and you seem to know more than Miles and LSU, because they wouldn't have invited him for an official visit and offered him a scholly.

Try again.............

Well if you want to go from Bama to Auburn, that is your disturbing problem. But if you went to Auburn, Id feel for you.

and he DID get an offer from LSU. Even if it is late, you should still go with your favorite school. Whats wrong with LSU wanting to have some intelligent players? Ill give you a guy with a bunch of talent if he is an idiot.

That's all fine and dandy and I don't disagree in the slightest bit. But it doesn't matter one bit what you and I think is best for him. It only matters what he and his advisors think is beter for him. They obviously think that Bama is the better fit.

That's the thing. I don't think they are thinking about what is best for him. I think they are hung up on this "honor the commitment" notion. I know I sound like I am disrespecting that and I don't mean to. That's a reason. But it's separate from doing what's best for the kid. What's best for the kid is going to the school where he fits best into the scheme, where he'll be in a comfortable place that will allow him to thrive.

It's not like he knocked up some chick and is now at the alter with a shotgun in his back being told to do the honorable thing. This is picking a college that will best help you achieve your goal of making the NFL and enjoying college. Saddling this kid with a guilt trip because he "committed" a few months back is not doing him right in my view.

According to who? You? The kid weighs 265 lbs and runs a 4.6 forty. Don't know about you, but that sounds like a DE to just about everyone else in the football world.

And say the hell with the ones who stood by you the whole time? I'm sure if he had grown up in Alabama and had been a life long Alabama fan, committed to LSU last year and we just made an offer this weekend, you would be saying the same thing

At age 18. With proper strength and conditioning he could be a dominate DT at just shy of 300 lbs.

You know I'm right about this. You're just happy it sounds like he'll grudgingly join your program. (Hey, I would be too if I were you).

The kid is a good enough football player and doesnt need you making up forty times. Typical bammer

They are 2 different types of players man. Montgomery is a smaller/weakside type of DE. Sentimore is a 3-tech DT or a larger/strongside DE.

Comparing Sentimore with Montgomery would be like comparing Rahim Alem with Ricky Jean-Francois.

Fine, you know more than me

If your coach Miles who do you take if you can any?

Looks like we strike out, which sucks badly

If we don't close this class, it will be a real shame after all the hard work Miles and the staff have done all year long
