Jackass, my point wasn’t trying to stop fans from being excited. In fact, my point is let’s just be excited about these kids instead of making grand proclamations about the program for every kid who signs.
5 star signs: WOOHOO 5 STARS ARE THE BEST
3 star signs: frick RANKINGS RATED TOO LOW FUTURE SUPERSTAR
OT signs who happens to be a certain frame: frick YEAH frick ALL THOSE FAT PIECES OF shite THIS WHAT WE DO NOW NO ONE OVER 300
Harold Perkins signs with Aggies: frick THAT GREEDY LOW IQ DUMB THUG PIECE OF shite HE WILL FAIL AT LIFE

It’s fricking madness and makes no sense. Why can’t this kid just be a great signing instead of representing some larger idea that will change the second they sign a “fatty”?

This will NOT happen as long as BK and Brad Davis are here. Brad Davis has recruited these same body types for a long time, so it won’t happen unless that guy really is someone who LSU can’t pass on and he runs a 4.5 at 340. Of course we’d probably put that guy on the DL if that’s the case lol.
There are always special cases bro. There are guys out there who are 6’7 335 or 340 and can carry that weight well. Those guys are very very few and far between though so if we do sign that (1) guy then he likely will be a bad arse. Otherwise, it just won’t happen. So you’ll be waiting for a while.

You do have a point with some of this but LSU is actually recruiting different body types for the OL and it looks to me like they are recruiting different maturity levels in these kids. They might take chances here or there with hopes that the team and environment can bring them around so they may not all be in that mold but we are recruiting different players now with this staff.
Some of these 3* players do deserve better rankings and some belong where they are but people will comment on those different things they see in a player. There’s nothing wrong with that. Of course LSU fans will be bias to their own players, that’s the nature of the game.
Bottom line is that LSU has a great coaching staff now and many of these coaches are polished recruiters who had to do real evaluations to land a diamond in the rough or a 3* / 2* player who plays like a 4* or 5* after a couple of years. They didn’t lose that talent when they came here but they did pick up the ability to now go get the higher ranked kids straight up. That’s why people are excited no matter if it’s a 3* 4* or 5*. It’s the trust in our coaches. I think in time we’ll all see why.

How could anyone possibly make this judgement right now? He’s recruiting the same players as every other top school. Seems the only distinction is “sign with LSU good morals, sign anywhere else greedy not a team player”.
