B. Harris is one of my favorites qbs in a while and he hasnt even played a game yet but I would hate for him to be thrown to the wolves so soon he does not to be come another victim of the qb development JJ/JL fell victim to (granted Cam is hands down the best coach LSU has had in developing QBs) but I believe a Jennings/Rettig will be a better option with Jennings having a edge

B Harris was hand picked by Cam so there is a good chance depends on how fast he can pick up the playbook.

I was a fan of Rettig when he committed (before AJ was on board). Well last year AJ beat him out for the number 2 spot so I guess it is fairly safe to assume that Rettig won't be the starting QB barring injury.

So I think it is a given. Spring game will be a battle for second between Rettig and BHarris.

I dont understand why everyone thinks Harris is some kind of god like figure. Sure his film looks good, but so did AJ's and everyone praised him like yall are doing to Harris now. Harris won't start a game at all next year (barring injury to Jennings or Rettig) and I'll even say I would be shocked if he even saw the field.

Even the coaches cannot answer your questions. AJ has the inertia, but no one knows who will emerge #1. Stephen Rivers' maturation could promote him. No one knows.

Harris will probably redshirt to bulk up some, fine-tune his throwing mechanics, and get more experience in Cam's system.

Jennings will probably start with Rettig probably backing him up.

Can't say anything beyond that right now because it'll depend on how our QBs perform in 2014.

The passes that AJ did make in the bowl game made me cringe.. no qb is probably the favorite at this point. they all have a shot - IMO. may be another transfer after the fall.

Anybody thinking Harris can win the job and be the starter in 2014?

Also, I have seen a few posters saying they think Harris will be a red-shirt this year, any thoughts on that??

I personally believe AJ keeps the starting gig until maybe halfway through the season (maybe a loss or low production out of AJ) and then Harris will get a chance to start.

I would normally say no. I thought jennings was the future. However, seeing more of brandon Harris, I really think this kid may be special. He seems to really understand the game. He doesn't seem rushed. I'm not saying he'd be great his true freshman year, however, i can see him winning the job and being special in a year or two. If he's the talent I think he may be (future first or second rounder) then he win the job.

FYI: it's been confirmed that Rivers is transferring.

Cam Cameron was not here for the whole JJ/JL debacle, so we can pretty much throw everything we've known out the window until proven otherwise.

Harris has more talent by quite a bit over the others, bleeds P&G, and wants that damn job.

I'm not saying I think he will start, but if he can come in and blow the door off the hinges, I'd be shocked if he wasn't our starter Day 1. He got in early so there is always a chance.

Jennings will start all year. I don't understand why people are thinking otherwise. Rettig will be his backup and Harris will redshirt. Harris will be VERY good but he needs time to work on mechanics and add some weight. Jameis Winston and Johnny Manziel didn't start as true freshman. They were both redshirted and learned the system. Having said this, Jennings is good!! We saw how quickly he was able to pick up the playbook and learn the system. Jennings earned that backup spot last year, plain and simple.

In Cam I trust. The future is bright!

What film are you watching? Brandon has to clean up some footwork, but there is no way he is "way less polished." Jennings can't throw a 10-yard comeback. Brandon can spin that route at 20-yards on a dime. Brandon has Mettenberg arm strength RIGHT NOW. Jennings throws like his humerus is broken in half.
