Silly how the new rule works, though. LSU is now bound to Harris, but Harris is not bound to LSU.

It's early enrollment scholarship agreement which LSU must uphold, but Harris could still show up at another school a la Kiel. Until he signs an LOI or attends a class he could still go elsewhere.
Zero risk of that happening with him, just answering the question.

I don't know the letter of the rule, but for the student it's always been LOI or attending a class. The NCAA just started allowing kids to sign Aug. 1st, rather than a week or two before they came to school. The kid can still back out if he REALLY wants to, but it's a lot tougher for the school to drop a scholly since it's actually on paper now(which you wouldn't think is a big deal if he's good enough to be an EE.)
