Boutte reportedly runs a 4.37 40.....

Doing some digging on Adams I found this

“Verified 4.32 40 for Alex at Mississippi State’s camp this summer.”

We got some SPEED on the way fellas!

I talked to a few folks who saw Adams play, they were impressed. South Pike is a upper 4A school, but traditionally, they have some great players.

But 200 times don’t compute to a fast 40. He is not elite speed. Blah, blah, blah.

Not sure what was going on w Moorehead at MSU, but it says Adams was a State recruit, but decommitted. Ive seen a couple of wrs the last few years who decommited. Now, I know we do not have a super deep talent pool over here in Ms, but we tend to have some good skill guys. I like that the coaches are having some success over here now. Maybe McKinley Jackson will choose LSU. That kid is a beast.

An elite 200 time does not imply an elite 40 time. It does not preclude it, either. There was a discussion on here about a week ago, in which some cited Boutte’s 200 time as proof that he had elite football speed. They were wrong. They were wrong regardless of whether he has elite football speed or not.

I have no opinion on that, btw, because I have never seen a confirmed laser timed 40 for him. Still haven’t. I will say this, I would not bet against him, because he has a compact body type. If he was an elite 200 runner with a lanky body type I’d bet against him having an elite 40 time.

Most kids in HS who run under 22 seconds in 200 have elite speed. He runs under 21. It was crock when stated by Rivals guy. 20.6??????? Are you kidding me?

bullshite....there is none with ELITE 200 times that doesnt run under a 4.5 forty.
A 20 second 200 is 5, 4.0 40 meters..of course the last 4 40 meter segments are with a running start.
40 meters does not equal 40 yds

I saw on Twitter that Adams has a 10.78 100m.

Not elite for a track guy but really good football speed.
