So we burned this kid's redshirt year for zero production?!?
This is yet another example of how O (and Les before him) mismanaged the roster.
Redshirt a kid if he is not going to provide meaningful contributions in his freshman season or you simply have to play them as a true freshman because injuries have put you in a position where you just need some bodies.
Too often, Les and O would simply play a kid even though that kid did not contribute in any meaningful way, and we lost a year of his eligibility.
Fourth and fifth year seniors are the glue that holds a team together and often times that is when they are hitting their peak (e.g. look at how well Damone Clark is finally playing now as a 4th year player)
A kid like Stingley, you absolutely play as a true freshman, but a lot of these kids, linemen especially like a Landon Jackson, should be redshirted.
Hopefully BK will fix this and build a program that is set up for sustained success.

I don’t recall ever seeing him in a game. I guess he could have been on STs?
