You sure? I know he didn't come for that game but I thought he came earlier in the summer for an unofficial?

I meant to say Dunkley never visited because he was thinking about coming for the UF game. Ash came to campus for a day during the summer but did not participate in camp.

Ash is someone I would be worried about trying to influence CD to consider LSU given we passed on him.

But Dunkley didn't ride with him on that trip? That's when I thought he came.

Same here.

How do you think Gonzales affects the Dunkley situation?

Dunkley said he might make the trip but was never made it and he also said it again for the UF game but same result. At least that was what I was told by someone at the camp.

Not sure what BG can do but UF fans seem a little worried.

I was wondering what role Gonzales would have if Tolbert was indeed also at LSU. If Tolbert coached WR and Gonzales was OC, we would then need a QB coach.

Unless we made the QB coach and Gonzales Co-OCs.

Okay, sorry.

Addazio is being demoted from OC at Florida. Meyer is going to hire his former OC at Utah, Mike Sanford, who was just fired as head coach at UNLV. BG was pissed he was being passed over again for the OC job at Florida. So he called someone at LSU and got the job. Florida fans are pissed off.

Nice summary. Now the question is did Tolbert think twice and shy away or did we put a hold on Tolbert and picked up Gonzales when he became available?

He was recruiting Chris Martin to UF.

Maybe that could be a steal from the smoldering rubble that is ND.

sorry to break in here but I went to sleep last night when you guys were discussing Gonzales, is he confirmed as OC, WR coach, or passing game coordinator?

If passing game co, does that mean 2 OCs or shared OC duties? I would not be excited about that

Im really wanting to think Miles will not do this again.

Some think after the bowl game things may clear up more, regarding Crow and the OC position.

Also being rumored Porter has offered Stud more $$$ at memphis.

that's what the Gainesville Sun is saying:
quote:

Florida wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales is leaving Gainesville to become the passing game coordinator at LSU, according to sources close to both programs.

I bet their fans are pissed:
quote:

The departure of Gonzales comes on the eve of a big recruiting weekend for the Gators.

he may be mad at meyer too if they are changing OC's:
quote:

Gonzales was considered a candidate to replace Dan Mullen as the Gators' offensive coordinator a year ago, but the job went to offensive line coach Steve Addazio.

Wonder why? The only reason I can think of is that he was at Bowling Green and kind of knows that area maybe.

Some UF fans on the sec rant said he was upset that he didn't get the OC position at UF when Mullen went to miss. st. If that's true I can understand him jumping ship bc he's been with meyer since bowling green.

plus he could be thinking he would be the new OC if GC is replace next year.

maybe they are friends. Maybe Porter thinks that having an ex LSU Oline coach is an upgrade for a smaller program such as Memphis.
