who is Lester Ricard Jr., I just saw him on rivals as a commit from 2002. What happened to him I wasn't really around back then.

perrilloux is less of a bust than mark sanchez at this point.

Neither is a bust based on -- on-the-field performance. It remains to be seen what they'll do. Sanchez won't be a bust this year, I assure you.

It is Whitney Lewis and it's not close. He was considered the "jewel" of what was the best recruiting class this decade with 5 1st rounders, 4 2nd rounders and another who is a projected 1st rounder in the next draft (Fili Moala).

We are talking a class with Reggie Bush, Lendale White, JD Booty, Sam Baker, Lo-Jack, Steve Smith etc.... and all any USC fans could talk about was Whitney Lewis.

anybody remember Luthur Brown at USC? Whatever happened to him?
Luther Brown had a strong spring and will see significant playing time next season.

no I really dont remember him nor have heard of him, probably because LSU never recruited him and he is from Cali and probably an early commit to USC.

how is Jimmy Clausen already a bust?

Yeah, BM's credibility kinda dipped with that comment he made with no substance behind it.

How is someone a bust when they quit football to pursue a career in track? I wouldn't necessarily call that a bust. To be honest, Olympics>>College football in terms of world wide prestige. You can't get any bigger.

I remember that. But Jefferson was all world and there was alot of pain for LSU around his recruitment. He was suppose to be the second coming of L.T., went to Illinois, and never saw the field as he was kicked out and is now in jail. IMO he should be at or near the top of the list. I just don't know how many guys on here remember him. If you saw him play, as I'm assuming you did, you can't forget the guy.

I don't think anyone touches DiShon Platt, b/c he was No. 2 WR and No. 16 in the rivals100 and he never even practiced, let alone played.

Dan Kendra, QB who went to FSU. He had Tebow-like size and ability, ten years ago. Injuries killed his career.

i know that. im saying perrilloux proved more in his first 3 years of college than sanchez did. and i dont expect sanchez to be a bust this year. thats why i said "at this point."

brown didnt commit to usc until signing day. and lsu recruited him heavily. in fact he set up official visits to lsu on 2 different occasions. he dropped lsu after saban left.

BUT....he did play some good FB before he graduated. He showed some mettle moving to another position and knocking some heads.

Didn't Whitney Lewis look like a STUD in practice, but tore up his knee and was never the same?

I'm not even sure. I always shunned USC football until McKnight went there. I still don't follow them closely at all. Just pay attention to what he does.

2006: Lewis will serve as a backup wide receiver as a junior in 2006.

2005: Lewis returned after a year's layoff and served as a backup wide receiver as a sophomore in 2005. Overall in 2005, he appeared in 9 games (all but Hawaii, Arkansas, California and Texas), but did not catch a pass. A sprained shoulder suffered in 2005 fall camp sidelined him for USC's first 2 games (Hawaii and Arkansas).

2004: Lewis redshirted the 2004 season while academically ineligible.

2003: Lewis was tried at several offensive positions as a first-year freshman in 2003. He came to USC as a wide receiver, but then was moved to running back-first at fullback (usually in motion) and then at tailback-before going back to wide receiver by midseason, where he is a backup. He sprained his right knee in practice prior to the Oregon State game and missed that contest. Overall in 2003 while appearing in 8 games (all but Auburn, California, Stanford, Washington State and Oregon State), he had 3 receptions for 27 yards (9.0 avg.) and 3 carries for 11 yards (3.7 avg.). He had 2 catches for 25 yards at Arizona. All of his carries came at Arizona State.
