Blackmon at 6'4" 278# and 4.8 in the 40 according to what Miles told him will likely be a DT.

Do these mesurements remind you of Tyson Jackson?

Ill go with Blackmon but neither of them are worth a offer especially Bates .... the kid might be hard worker and have great character but hell so did Rudy.

We should have kept these two spots open and then if no one better took them at the end and then look to them to fill it ....

But since we did and cant take them back I hope they both prove me wrong and become great players

No offense, but I'm not sure why people think these continuous bashing posts of these two are funny?

Bates has great film and Blackmon must have some game considering we've offered him and didn't offer many other DTs.

Some of us on the northshore have seen Bates play.

As for Blackmon...know almost nothing about him, so all I can comment about is his school needs to invest in some camera equipment.

Neither one will do much with Cam "The Wall" Fordham blocking the shite out of them.

Blackmon is the biggest, but why ask such an obvious question?

I know this is tongue and cheek, but I think Blackmon ends up as a penetrating DT type... ala RJF.

No one has seen any film on Blackmon--I don't see how anyone can make even a vague outlook on what we can expect from him.

Thought they wanted Bates for a MLB?

Probably so.

I don't think it will matter--I can't see him ever breaking the starting lineup.

I think Bates is your "RAWR! LSU!" type fullback/linebacker/special teams guy. A hype man. Won't start but will motivate.

I see Bates as a 3rd down pass rusher off the bench. Everyone on here acts like we have such an awesome pass rush, but there has been countless games the last few years where we could have used a player like Bates. Bates was the MVP of the Scout combine bc he has some pass rush ability.
