Couldn't disagree more with this for MOST prospects and coaches involved. If you listen to interviews of kids making selections, the vast majority say during interviews they called up the programs they didn't select. In the Okla St/A&M deal I mentioned, the other OSU recruits told the coaches about it. I hate to break it to anybody with low character who would recruit at one school for another, but ANYONE who would respect that guy, you don't want on your football team to begin with. Prospects aren't as stupid as some people think, and the vast majority know right from wrong.

You absolutely bring him in to visit, you have no idea what can happen between now and February on either end. Let him know he would be welcome here and hope that somehow he does end up here.

I hope someone will tell all of these kids the facts of life. Most of these kids have had a lot of coaches, scouts, recruiters, classmates, and fans kissing their arse since they were 14 or 15. A lot of them have a big head by the time they are seniors and think they are three years away from being millionaires. I hope someone tells them that they are just an injury away from a new career and no matter where they go they need to keep that in mind. They need to talk to Josh Williford and Chad Ellis. Lattimore is just now being cleared to practice with the 49ers.
I also wouldn't be surprised if CR changes his mind twice before signing day. Keep in mind these kids are 17, 18, or 19 and mentally they are still developing.

I agree 100% with your entire comment. I have no problem with C Robinson being there...UNLESS he starts talking up Alabama. If he does, then he is gone! I don't care if he is from Shreveport, West Monroe, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, it doesn't matter. Any visiting prospect who talks down your school or talks up another is not wanted on the campus. If anyone wants to lobby another player, do it on your own time, not LSU's campus, not LSU's time. 'nuff said!

Thank you. Like I said, you don't recruit well by backing off when you think there's no chance. You can be persistent without being arrogant/aggravating.
Saban is still recruiting our players that everyone thinks are LSU locks... Think about that for a second next time you feel we should move on from a big prospect.

Exactly! When Saban does it he's a genius and has total support of his fan base. When LSU is persistent the fan base is appalled & criticized for their "stupidity".
