Does anyone think that da'shawn hand committing to Bama increases our chances of possibly landing Lorenzo Carter? Ive read that he's interested but it seems like it was bama and Uga battling for him now it seems it could maybe be Uga followed by uf. Or is it to late for him?

Its strange when someone's first post would be about this.

I highly doubt it. He wants to play in a 3-4 as a Linebacker. He has said he'd like to visit though, but I doubt we have a chance.

I think we are probably out of it for him

I really don't know what has happened with his recruitment but I feel like he'll stay home or go to UF

unless he makes an official to BR, signing him will be unlikely.

Sucks if you watch his film he will be a stub in a 4-3 system. Maybe if we can get him on campus with how bad Uga is playing we can maybe pull a tashawn bower

like others have said, if we get him to campus anything can happen, but I doubt we really have a good chance with him.

Welcome to the board, as long as you don't post retarded questions or something that has been discussed a million times, people should take it easy on you. Just remember, the search function is your friend, and try and at least make sure your topic isn't still on the 1st page before starting a thread. Once again, Welcome to the RB!

Not that we don't want him, but Gerald Willis III is better than Carter and Hand.

This.

Plus it's not a good sign when a national recruiting analyst goes to see Carter and publicly talks about him taking plays off. I didn't see his game on ESPN but many who did said they were underwhelmed then as well.

Gerald Willis looks like he is probably going to grow into a DT though?

Perhaps. He plays inside now on occasion.

It would be nice if we can still get him on campus along with chad Thomas. Even though they're both locks you never know what can happen from here till February

Gerald could maybe play a 3 or a 5 technique next year. He is a thick kid. It is gonna be interesting to see how all those defensive lineman we recruited last year will play next year. A lot of people were surprised more of them didn't play as bad as our d-line was this year.

That's Mingo's position with the Browns and I'd say he's doing just fine.

If the guy doesn't wanna come here then he just doesn't but it shouldn't be because he wants to prep to be a 3-4 LB. He'll be prepped sufficiently.

I saw that game against Booker T. Washington HS earlier this season. Carter was underwhelming. Not trying to bash the guy (it was just one game), but he was held in check for most of the game. B.T.W. left their LT on him, and Carter couldn't make plays.

^this. A friend of mine is the baseball coach at Norcross. Admitted the same thing. Carter got owned by Booker T. & hasn't exactly set the world on fire this yr. He's an animal in drills and camps. I've seen a ton of Gwinnett County football this yr. I don't see the 5* rating. Oh, he does get coached. Norcross is defending 6A state champs and puts out a shite load of D1 players. I want GW3

Willis is top priority on DL. Looking forward to seeing the all star game practices and Under Armour game, since ESPN didn't show any Edna Karr games and I don't live in Louisiana or the Southeast.
Saw parts off the game on espnu and they mentioned Carter is ranked on potential and not what they were seeing. Not going into the espn conspiracy theory, but I did see a ufo today. Sorry folks, just a bit punchy with no LSU game today.
The B.T. Washington OT is a 3* for class of 2015, if memory serves correctly. Recall looking up his info while watching game.
