I remember "Pum" Lewis out of New Iberia...he was a BEAST, highly recruited till he killed a guy for 3 ounces of cocaine and 2 gold bracelets...I was on his murder trial...really sad as he had all the potential in the world...

Wasnt Robert Peace another 4 or 5 star recruit LB'er out of La. that went on to Tenn.?...never really heard much about him during his playing days there other than his Sr. yr ...What high school did he attend?..its been a while for me..

Its hard to answer because recruiting wasnt what it was back then...since 80 clearly the top LB was Cedric Figaro, from Lafayette High.. If there was a top 100 back in 83, he would have been top 5..

Joe Pa until recently had not recruited players west of mississippi, and he was the first ever to receive a phone call from him. Cooper from West Jeff, was the second..
