Best case scenario finish still puts us still in the Top 3

For all the star gazers who are somehow bummed from yesterday, a finish of
Z Evans
A Williams
S Van Pran
M Jackson
T Crawford
Would put us around 310, and that's before the final rankings. And basically a virtual #1 Class as Clemson and Bama are each around 311-310.
I don't care as much about rankings as I do filling positions of need and sure fire impact players. We only have 19 in and we have a bunch of them.

Kaufman needs to be in this class.
We likely aren't getting Van Pran, Jackson is a toss up, and who fricking knows with Evans.
We have a great class, we don't need to look for bright spots, it's one big bright spot. Let's get a RB, a couple more fat guys, and Kaufman and I'll be ecstatic.

Honestly we should recruit an entire oline. Need another guard and tackle. Not sure if that will be Crawford and Van Pran or not.
I think we end up with Evans. His official visits went really well.

I think we land Evans and McKinley Jackson. Last 4 spots completely clueless on right now. For sure another DB and WR imo, but that only puts us at 23.

You do realize that these rankings are completely biased and objective right? In recruiting, what matters is:
1) Did we fill needs? For the most part, yes
2) Did we fill needs with elite guys at those positions? Yes
3) Do those players fit the system we run? Yes
This class is one of the best classes we have sign in a VERY long time because it is very diverse and fills the needs of this class with elite talent. Our weaknesses have always been that we’ve had an Achilles heel on every team, prior to this team. Filling needs, minimizes our weaknesses as a team, this making us better. That’s what matters most. Now let’s hope we close strong and sign another, well rounded class, next year.

Nobody knows anything except the kids making the decisions. Recruiting isn’t objective. There are no locks and all information out there is guesses and opinions. Nobody knew Gilbert was coming. Just enjoy the ride and celebrate who wants to be a tiger and root against who doesn’t

Vol may know the communication a player has with the staff, but that’s it. He doesn’t know what the player is telling other coaches, family, etc.
Vol letting us know if the coaches feel good about a commitment was a huge plus on this board. Unfortunately, it also lets other coaches know how we feel which is why I’m glad he’s being hush right now.
