Not getting Tony Brown would be a MASSIVE blow.

Hardly. He looks awesome and would be a great get, but LSU has no trouble finding stud DB's. For all we know somone like Santos Ramierez could be just as good. Remember, coming out Dre Kirkpatrick was a 5* when he signed with Bama, Claiborne was a 3*. Who was better in 2010 and 11?.
On another note, if his sister doesn't get in, and the family blames LSU, which Perroni is insinuating, is exactly why package deals are not worth the trouble. We'll be fine at CB with or with out Brown.

He is not saying that she will enroll at A&M or anywhere else this fall. That was Hamm's spin from the other day. Hamm is generally a hack that says things for readership. Perroni is very good at his job. He's not the most eloquent fellow, but he generally isn't full of shite either.
I think this is the part that seems to not have any real evidence behind it...

Basically, it does not appear that Bealoved will be ruled eligible by the NCAA Clearinghouse. The family was previously under the assumption that she was cleared but, after we did some checking, she is not.
^ (Premises entire report with the statement that she won't make it to LSU, which basically means the rest is about all the other schools besides LSU, which he says is mainly A&M and Texas, but really A&M)
quote:
From talking to a few people, LSU very well may let her out of her LOI if she is not cleared in time for the fall. If not, we are hearing that she will likely just take another semester off instead of enrolling at LSU in January. Obviously it can change but, according to people very close to the situation, if she does not end up at LSU in the fall she will likely not go there at all.
That opens up the possibility for her to go elsewhere. The two destinations we are hearing as the most likely are either A&M or Texas. She also liked Tech during her recruitment but the family is not as high on the Red Raiders as the other two schools.
If Bealoved is not cleared for LSU this year, then it likely impacts her brother as well. We are hearing that Tony will likely not go to LSU if he sister does not end up there in the fall. There are some reasons for this that we cannot get into right now.
If Tony does not go to LSU, A&M is the team to beat. Obviously, if Bealoved ends up at Texas, the Longhorns will be challengers for his services too but we are hearing the Aggies would still be the favorite for his signature. (PERRONI)

My understanding is the NCAA flagged the test for too large of an improvement

If the NCAA flagged me for too much improvement, that would make me even more determined to go to school that I want to.
Just sickening. The NCAA doesn't have the manpower to investigate players being paid off, but they sure can find the time to investigate everyone's, test scores, school records, grades and compliance.
Got it.
frick you NCAA.

Did LSU forget to send the Christmas presents to the NCAA again this year? Somehow we got to get that on the calendar and make sure they go out in a timely manner. Yeah you don't academically qualify for LSU but you do for Texas and TAM. Doubtfull.

I think its automatic if there is a jump of a certain # of points, they are afraid someone is cheating or had someone else take the test. I would not think it would be that hard or take that long to investigate however.

oh i get it. If you want to be cleared you go to cheat to make sure you don't improve your score too much to make the NCAA suspicious. Just have to answer a few more test questions incorrectly to make the test score pass the NCAA watchdogs.
Makes perfect sense if you are a moron.

Okay? Kirkpatrick was still an All-American and 1st round draft pick. Just because our coaches have an ability to spot under-evaluated talent doesn't mean losing a 5* CB is any less of a blow.

Yes it does. You view it was 1 5* missing as if no one is filling his spot. While in reality, we will have a replacement that could be just as good and even if he's not quite as good, the difference will be marginal. Recruiting is about who you get, not who you don't. As long as LSU continues to recruit at a high level, we will be fine. We will have a top 5 class with or with out Brown, that's all that matters.

That's clearly the incentive they have set up. Like i said it should not be that hard to verify, this is pretty much guilty until proven innocent. Typical NCAA horse crap.

If tony brown isn't a part of Dream Team '14 it would be a huge blow. With that said I believe he will sign with LSU

God forbid a kid bust @ss and show marked aptitude test improvement..NCAA Gestapo Bastards!
SECede..the five major conferencess need to put the fear of God in the NCAA..get some concessions and throw their weight around a bit over some issues.

People forget that brick Haley has ties with bealoved.... LSU is doing everything they can and she will end up here. Don't let's some hopeful AssToMouth writer make you think otherwise.

This could be the most important LSU track recruit ever

So I guess we can put the whole Brown family would be mad at LSU if Beloved didn't get cleared thing to rest. She'll get cleared. I'm not worried. I doubt it was a huge jump in the ACT so we should be fine.
