I now believe TJ is the worst coach in LSU history. He's worse than Hallman.

New potential name:

UCF's Josh Crittle:

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Central Florida basketball coach Donnie Jones received good and bad news about the quartet of seniors he hoped to have on the court this season.

All-Conference USA big man Keith Clanton told Jones over the weekend that he would return for his final season. Meanwhile, Marcus Jordan, Josh Crittle and C.J. Reed have decided to leave the program, UCF announced Monday.

Crittle, a 6-foot-9 center, had reportedly recently visited DePaul. But it is unknown if that is where he will transfer.

I have no info that he has talked with LSU, but he just became available.

He said a few times publically that he didn't like having more than 10 or 11 guys on the roster. He felt like 13 players was too much to manage. Seriously.

They should have fired his arse before last season. I wonder if he was actually pushed out or if he saved us from ourselves

Marcus Jordan is apparently done with basketball. Will stay in school and graduate, but not play basketball.

I'm sure he's real worried about his future.

There were a couple posters on here in the past stating this. We were laughed at.

You are right by the way.

Randy Rosetta, now of Times-Pic, just wrote that LSU is "likely" to add Carmouche and maybe another player.

Aug.29 last day to enroll.

One thing that is very disappointing is that I have seen at least 10 last minute signings for 2012 in the past week, either graduate transfer, foreign players, late-qualifiers from preps and JUCOs. Many of these involved post players.

West Virginia signed a 6-9 Euro forward just today, for this season.

Perhaps Johnny wants as many scholarships available for a big recruiting class this season. My fear is that if the big prospects wait until the spring, and then we suck this season, we will be left out in the cold.

I have seen nothing that indicates any of the big players we are after: Mickey, Shepherd, Martin and Jones, have any plans to sign early. I believe we need two of those four to have a successful signing class, unless some new names come up. Preferably one each of Jones/Shepherd and Mickey/Martin.

I think whats adds to that is none of the big guys are from the state or sourrounding states that atleast have something in common with LSU, I see a lot of these late signings, guys are signing with someone they were aquainted with or going back closer to there home town.

Also i think many guys LSU is recruiting will not sign early, the higher profile players it's always best to sign in the the spring, that way you still get the attention or pub, there;s a lot of kids now who know where they going but won't reveal unitl April.

Definitely looks like someone that David Patrick should have been in on, unless he's not a very good player, which is very possible.

U of L Officially Announces The Addition Of Mangok Mathiang
by Mike Rutherford

Here's the official release on your newest Louisville Cardinal:

Mangok Mathiang, a 6-10, 205-pound forward/center who played last season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., has signed a financial aid agreement to continue his basketball playing career at the University of Louisville. He has been on campus since the fall semester began at UofL on Monday.

"Mango is extremely quick and agile for a 6-10 player," said UofL Men's Basketball Coach Rick Pitino. "He has a great future because of the way he moves at both the offensive and defensive ends. We're excited to have him as a part of our program."

Mathiang averaged 12 points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots last season for IMG's postgraduate team, which posted a 28-2 record in 2011-12. Eleven of his IMG teammates signed with NCAA Division I schools.

Born in Sudan, Africa, Mathiang lived in Melbourne, Australia for several years before moving to the United States to play a season of high school basketball at Carbondale (Ill.) Brehm Prep School in 2010-11. While at Brehm Prep, he blocked an event-high seven shots against Princeton Day Academy in the 2011 National Prep School Invitational.

Mathiang chose to attend UofL after also receiving offers from Kansas State, Georgia, Mississippi State, Auburn and Central Michigan.

He was a high major prospect. I can only assume he had eligibility issues. These JUCO prospects, like Godfrey, have a higher bar to meet than just graduating, if they want to go to a major conference like the SEC. There are some other stipulations, like specific classes, etc.
