Don't expect one. They have said all 5 coaches will get in-home visits.
Posted on 9/3/12 at 10:32 pm to Bubba Hotep
Has he visited anyone else yet?
Posted on 9/3/12 at 10:33 pm to lwlsu96
Not officially. Been to all 5 unofficially.

Maybe the crowd should show James Wright a little extra love Saturday night, couldn't hurt.

Maybe I'm wrong, but from what I understand about Mickey, he can play the three or the four. He might need to keep working on his perimeter skills to play the three in college, but if he can, then I don't think it would be an issue with Martin to bring Mickey in. For the record, I want them both, even with the commitments from Deng and Odoh.

Absolutely! This team is in desperate need for post players adding 2 top 100 HS seniors to go along with a JUCO assumning we get Odoh and Deng Deng would be legit.

I really think Martin will be at LSU next year. Now with Karviar most likely out of the mix, what other top 100 guys are we going hard after besides Mickey and Martin?

From ESPN: LINK
BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU landed its first recruit for the 2013 basketball signing class when Deng Deng, a 6-foot-8, 215-pound Australian playing at Lee College in Baytown, Texas committed Monday, his coach confirmed.
Deng prepped in Utah and signed with Long Beach State coming out of high school. Lee's coach, Roy Champage, said LSU is getting a skilled, international-style small forward with SEC length.
"He's a 6-8 small forward who has the ability to have mismatches and play big close to the basket," Champagne said. "He's not a thick body type, but he's constantly working. He has a cut upper body, but a slender lower body, so he's not what I would call a power forward."

LSU landed its second basketball commitment in one day when 6-foot-11 Hill College center John Odoh chose to commit to LSU on Monday.
Odoh, a native of Nigeria, originally signed with North Texas last spring, but got out of the letter of intent after head coach Johnny Jones left UNT for LSU. Odoh was unsuccessful in an attempt to become academically eligible to play for the Tigers in summer school and had to return to junior college.
His juco coach, Swede Trenkle, confirmed the commitment via email Monday night.

Jarell Martin and Brian Bridgewater were at the LSU-UNT game. Martin was in the stands, Bridgewater was spotted on the sidelines, so apparently he was there as a potential football recruit.
Is he playing football at Scotlandville?

Dwight Coleby taking an official visit to Memphis this weekend. Also considering Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Georgia for potential visits. Not sure if LSU is out, but no mention of them in recent articles.

Also, a note on Kendall Smith: UConn was recruiting him but had not yet offered. Smith had openly said that UConn was his favorite and would likely commit if they offered. Well, over the weekend UConn got a commit from point guard Terrance Samuel, so it looks like they are no longer interested in Smith.
Smith is taking an official visit to LSU on Oct. 9. It is unclear if LSU has offered, but he has already visited once on an unofficial basis. Not sure where he ranks on LSU's list compared to other point guards like David Taylor.
Smith is a great ball-handler and remarkable passer, but has a funky shot. He actually reminds me of a taller Anthony Hickey. Smith is about 6-3 and has long arms.

Considering that Shane Hammink is at LSU and also has two younger brothers, I found this list of Dutch players currently playing outside of the country:

Trying to steal Martin thats for sure

Posted on 9/4/12 at 3:11 pm to lwlsu96
That's not going to happen. If LSU loses him, it will be to an elite school.
Posted on 9/4/12 at 8:02 pm to Bubba Hotep
In an ideal world, we'd get Cat Barber, Troy Williams, Shannon Hale, Jimmie Taylor, and Jarrell Martin. My main hope is that we get Cat Barber and go from there. I'd be fine missing out on Martin if we could somehow land another quality guard like JaJuan Johnson to go with Barber and Williams. We don't necessarily need another big man to go with Hale and Taylor, but it sure would be nice to get Martin.
Ouch

No slight intended. We are not an elite school either.
