He's currently ranked No.13 in his age group in all of Europe. That's pretty impressive to me. That's about what Shane Hammink was ranked.

Kansas coming to Baton Rouge for in-home with Damien Jones
LINK
Jones is on an official visit to Vanderbilt this weekend.

And finally, four star big man Damien Jones from Baton Rouge, La. recently scheduled an in-home visit with Self and staff for September 19. Jones was one of the breakout stars of the summer, climbing in almost all recruiting rankings, especially in Rivals’ jumping from #102 to #73 and earning a four star ranking. Many high major schools have jumped on board, including Kansas.

So can we go ahead and officially kiss Jones goodbye? LSU seems to be only interested in Martin out of the two.

I don't think so. I think LSU is still strongly interested in Jones and vice-versa. Can't blame him for looking around.

LSU has to be careful in recruiting, by Martin being a highly ranked recruit, they have to show him that he's number one on there list, and still show they want some of the onther recruits like Jones from Baton Rouge, it might be a little easier If Martin and Jones were real tight buddies.

Point guard Tim Quarterman (Savannah, Ga./Johnson) was one of the best perimeter players I saw this spring and summer. He is currently No. 64 on the ESPN 100 and the No. 16 overall point guard, but he is one of the most versatile and productive players in the Class of 2013.
Reggie Rankin/ESPN.com
Tim Quarterman is ranked No. 2 overall in the Class of 2013 from Georgia.
Quarterman is at his best with the ball in his hands, but at 6-foot-6 and 180 pounds he can play and defend all three perimeter positions at a very high level. He is a playmaker who gets buckets and he reminds me at times of a right-handed Jalen Rose on the offensive end. Quarterman can push the ball the ball on the break and is a threat to go coast to coast and finish with flare, drop off to the post or kick out to a wide open teammate. He is also a slippery slasher and will knock down the open 3 when his feet are set.
"One thing that people don't know about my game is that I am good on defense," he said. "I like to guard the other team's best player and make it hard for him when I am on the ball."
Quarterman has been working out very hard since the July evaluation period. "I have been lifting weights. Working on my ballhandling, getting up shots -- mostly midrange off the dribble -- and passing by having guys run at me and make me find the open man," Quarterman said.
As for recruiting, Quarterman said he will visit George Mason and Georgetown for sure although no dates have been set yet. Schools also attempting to get Quarterman on campus officially are Miami (FL), Missouri, LSU, Mississippi State, Seton Hall and South Carolina, among others.
"I am very excited about the recruiting and visits and I have been thinking alot about signing early in November but I'm not sure yet," he said.
Overall, Quarterman will be a tough matchup not only this season but wherever he decides to play in college. This young man has the versatility that coaches love and he will make the coach he selects extremely happy from the second he steps on campus. His potential is scary.

Didn't make the cut for Kaviar per Rivals

Didn't know you follow hoops recruiting.

Sadly, you are correct.
@JayhawkSlant: Just received a call from 4 star center Karviar Shepherd. He's trimmed his list and just 5 schools remain. #kubball
Texas, Texas A&M, TCU, Kansas, Oklahoma
Trent Johnson doing work.

Damien Jones at Vandy is the only LSU target that is taking a visit this weekend, as far as I have been able to find out.

Multiple times a day....thanks to you.
I've asked the crews at some of the pay sites I belong to to spend more time but haven't gotten much info there.

Hey Bubba, thanks for the service you provide. I love hoops and can't get enough hoops recruiting info. I see you're on Tigerbait, as am I.

I'm on Rivals just for their national info. I think all of the LSU sites suck for basketball information.

2013 basketball recruiting class prediction contest:
1. Ryan Hammink
2. Nick Hammink
3. Brian Bridgewater
4. Jordan Mickey
5. Jarrell Martin
6. David Taylor
Tiebreaker: I think LSU will end up 8th.

Well one of my guesses got lucky. I had him on my we won't get him list. When I saw Texas and Kansas I figured that was too stiff a competition without some mitigating factor.

Isaac will definitely sign in the spring, so he could be a fall-back at the shooting guard position, if that ends up being a position of need.
Don't want to be too harsh on the kid but I just never saw much in Isaac. He would have to really improve and refine his skills for me to want him back. I would rather that we take a chance on someone new like the kid from Southern Lab or even one of the Hammink twins.

Rewatching the game from last night, spotted Martin on TV in the 4th Qtr behind Elvis right after the Boone TD. Martin stayed at the game longer than most other Tiger fans lol. I see him at all the Basketball games as well.
