Derrick Griffin

The guys on ESPNU said LSU has been after this guy lately. This was said during the AAU supershowcase. Didn't see him listed in the original list.

Another thing that CJJ talked about was how playing good teams in the SEC helps our RPI. CJJ obviously knows what it take to get into the tourney.

Pretty basic stuff. CJJ said he's hoping he can get a couple of transfers and is excited about next years recruiting class. They talked a lot about the new recruiting rules and the difference from being at a school with less money as compared to LSU in recruiting terms.

UCF is about to hear their NCAA sanctions, and I would imagine their players will be eligible to transfer. Best Players are SG Marcus Jordan and PF Keith Clanton. This could be the domino CJJ is waiting to fall

Hasn't Jordan been in trouble recently and been a head ache constantly?
Posted on 7/30/12 at 6:57 pm to ZizzleFontain
Not a player we would be looking at.

Keith Clanton looks pretty good. If we could snag him he might instantly be our best player.

We should be all over Clanton, he is exactly what we need. Jordan might be more trouble than he's worth. Clanton's from Orlando and it's not like he's played in the post season before anyway so he might stick it out.

Clanton is officially available.

Clanton (6'9" 245 lbs) put up nearly 15 ppg/8 rebs. Would definitely be a nice get for a year.

Landing a guy of that caliber would be phenomenal at this stage.

Sounds like a longshot, at best. I know of no connection to LSU. Would be awesome, though.

There is not much here.

"According to his ESPN recruiting profile, South Carolina, Miami and South Florida were all in Clanton’s top five when he decided to go to UCF. All three of those teams certainly could use a player of his talent, particularly Miami. The Hurricanes already have a talented back court, and Clanton would be combining with Kenny Kadji and Reggie Johnson to give Jim Larranaga one of the best front courts in the conference.
Perhaps the most interesting landing spot, however, is Butler. The Bulldogs were after him coming out of high school, and with the amount of talent that Butler has coming back this season, he could make Butler even more of a contender on a national scale."

I just removed Xavier Rathan-Mayes. He announced his 10 finalists -- no LSU.
