Thread starter has no idea what he's looking at, Barrow looked good...was in position every time, made an INT even. Mingo showed incredible quickness and speed and was in position 90% of the time, he just has not technique or experience with playing the ball in the air.

I thought Barrow actually looked pretty good in most of those drills.
I agree too. He looked like the best of the linebackers out there IMO

the point of the drill is not to see if the linebackers can get an interception. or to see how bad the rbs can burn the lbs. The coaches are lookin for hip movement, getting in and out of breaks, hands, and athletism over instincts. for rbs its just a test of speed and hands.

is this anything out of the ordinary?
LSU is used to these types of LBs ...solid but far from the best

I think your pics are bad luck. You may need to take down Montgomery before it's too late.

pretty much every running back owned every linebacker in that drill. the only times when they didn't pass interferance would have been called.
true, but it's not like that video was full of Jarvis Jones/Jon Bostic-caliber LBs either..

Mingo is also playing basketball I'm pretty sure, so he's unable to focus on getting bigger for football.

Is anyone recruiting Dalton Hilliard Jr?

He plays basketball and runs track. He also had to go to summer school last year so he did not make all of the workouts.
Ive talked to linemen that tried to block him and they said they dont care about his weight room numbers that kid is strong on the field.

Thought he was a junior, but maybe not.

I checked the roster online. Dalton Jr. is a senior RB, Pat Swilling JR is a junior DB on the same team.

is that sarcasm? i've never seen a running back be able to come out of the backfield straight up the middle without having to worry about anything else except beating his man. The RB definately has the upperhand in that drill, imho the LB's are doing good just to be in decent position.
