I don't think CM will ever get an offer unless the coaches are able to see him in person before his commitment.
Why doesn't Miles and company just get the kid over here and watch him work out?
It is silly to have a 5 star recruit with a good head on his shoulders who wants to play at LSU, and we (LSU) seem to be sitting on our hands?
Something still doesn't make sense
While Lache may become a Tiger that provides the idea (we don't need any more backs)...that is 1.5 year away, and Lache could easily end up somewhere else by then..
What do I know? Nothing....so we will just have to trust the coaches as always...hope for the best.
I like CM a lot...hope we get him and Lache

Also, the running-backs we currently have now could declare for the draft. Scott and Williams could both declare for the draft after this year. I'm not sure about Murphy. That would leave only Pratt and Ford. So, we don't have the large STABLE of RB's that people keep talking about.

Bottom line...When kids commit and start looking elsewhere they are playing the fence with big money boosters from all teams involved. Take that how you want to take it...2nd point- When kids do not commit but everyone knows where they are going(especially if it is the home state school) these kids are just milking it from boosters because they know that once they sign the LOI the milk stops. Sorry if I offended anybody, but I am just tired of everyone thinking that these kids really choose to go to a school because of depth charts, facilities, relationships with coaches, and feeling comfortable. You can go to any of the top schools in the country and you will see that the football players drive the nicest cars on campus and that includes the professors and most coaches.

I can't see any possible rason to doubt that Richardson is #1 on LSU's board.
If CM was #1, he'd be a tiger by now.
If CM was #1, he'd be a tiger by now.

What is wrong with taking the 2nd 3rd or 4th ranked RB on thier list?
Does it really matter?
They all are about the same..all very good RB's

quote:the thinking here is: 1) les miles favors the big back, big10 style of running the football, and 2) wants more of a compliment to ford/pratt. i know pratt is a big back, but some feel he'll end up a LB.
Does it really matter?

**i feel i must clarify with every post i want CM, and dont agree with waiting on TR, but my opinion means nothing

I'm pretty sure Les Miles and your staff don't give a frick that CM is a "5 star" now. We have a 3 star guy from last years class (Dline) who is going to push for seriously playing time this year.

I was reading an article or watching ESPN and I heard or read a quote from a Top 20 program talking about recruiting...don't remember who it was or what program, but he said he was looking at recruiting web sites.
I don't believe they put much into star ratings, but they do glean information. So I agree that four or five stars don't determine the cutoff...its information plus in person and film evaluations.
Thus, Michael, Lacy, or Richardson comming to LSU does not depend on thier star ratings or rank at the RB position.
