Looks like Orgeron and staff have done at least as well at talent evaluation and development as ANYONE over the last 3 years if the nfl draft is to be considered credible.
Big mad bet ya heard lmao
Ain’t nobody mad, son.
Did you even watch LSU football recently?

I think the crux of the story is both schools do well with putting players into the league

If he’s weaken the opponent that means the players he is getting are good which means his team is good and that’s the whole point of recruiting
Again, I’m not sure I follow.
The high number of football scholarships-85- can nearly outfit 4 units. Contrast that to baseball where 11.7 can’t fully do one team. A recruiter like Saban has in the past been able to recruit the cream of the crop, and still have scholarships available to fill in. Landon Collins, Cam Robinson, Eddie Lacy are examples of those absolute best. It’s not these players, but those second tier players still in need of development but with huge potential nonetheless, that he will use to fill in. If one of those “fill-in” players is also considering Auburn or LSU, I guarantee you he will take that player every time over someone of equal stature who is not considering a school he considers a rival. And make no mistake about this-LSU has been and always will be Saban’s biggest worry.

Kwon Alexander has had a much better career than Tim Williams

Dee Miliner was drafted over Darius Slay, Xavier Rhodes, Desmond Trufant
4 CB’s were drafted over Tre’Davious White
Your point?

Luther Davis Zero trouble teammate
Robbie Green sits the bench at LSU
Kenny Bell would have played about the same minutes he played at Bama
Sentimore another Zero, trouble
Slyve never hits the field at LSU
Williams would have played at LSU two year starter
Falkins never hits the field. Maybe at the goal line
Smith.. ZERO
Hootie Jones backup at LSU
Cam Sims bench warmer at LSU
Charlot never plays at LSU
Carter Backup at LSU
Mathis to early to tell. I believe he's a backup at LSU
Chris Allen looks like a player if he gets well.
Bulovas wash out
Devonta Smith made the right choice. reason why? He may not have gotten the same snaps at LSU
Eddies Lacy LSU wanted no part of this player. How Alabama kept him eligible for three years is proof that Bama cheats like no University.
The two top players LSU lost to Alabama were Landon Collins, and Cam Robinson. Both players in my opinion helped Bama get over the top against LSU, and also win championships for Bama. Landon Collins was feared on a football field, and in the Bama locker room.
Dylan Moses too early to tell, but so far he looks like Tarzan, and plays like Jane. I like his replacement in Phillips for the Tigers. I promise you, Queen will have a better NFL career than Moses.

No way. Williams could not carry Kwon's jock, but he would have played at LSU if they could have keep him on the team. Listen, Nick Saban tries his best to give the impression that he's a disciplinarian, but he will bend the rules for WWWWWWW's.

That’s why Williams was a higher draft pick lmao

While we are on the subject. Kaine Williams to Bama. Word is Williams was not a priority for LSU. Another trouble player from Louisiana headed to Bama. I love it.

Yep. He ought to reconsider, but there’s still many months to go for him to wise up. Otherwise, his name may be added to the Bama epitaph list.

That’s why Williams isn’t even in the league anymore and Kwon last year was possibly the highest paid LB in the NFL
Because Alexander is light years better than a guy who was a very solid 3rd down specialist at Bama. He rang up some sack stats in that role as he rarely saw the field on early downs unless Bama was up big. Good player who obviously was over drafted.

I fail to see your point in relation to the topic
Posted on 5/16/20 at 3:47 pm to Lester Earl
You just argued that Kwon couldn’t carry Williams jock. I was countering that argument
Your argument was that draft position somehow proves Williams was better
I would disagree

This is a thread about how Bama developed players. Williams was developed by Bama into a 3rd rd pick. He was drafted higher than Kwon was.
Willians was a good college player. I honestly don’t even know where Kwon came into this. But he currently has one of the worst contracts in football. He’s not very good and has been suspended for PED use

Williams was overdrafted after being a nice rotational player at Bama. Alexander proved for four years in TB to be an elite player. Williams draft status is more like Stanley Jean Baptiste than Kwon
Williams is sitting on his arse somewhere after all that development at Bama. Kwon is the highest paid linebacker in the NFL after his development at LSU.

Saban using the ole Bear Bryant "they can't beat you, if they're wearing Crimson" playbook.
Especially versus Miles & LSU, Aub, and Fla.
Sure, he recruited them to try best his 4* & 5* nationally recruited collective, and contribute if possible.
But, unlike Bear's 55 player signing classes and 100+ rosters pre 1973, 1978,1992 reductions.
Saban has to be selective.
Between O's recruiting prowess and LSU NFL development..the La fence is strong.

What the hell are you smokin?
McKinney & Diggs just got drafted in the 2nd round
Harrison was a 3rd
Fitzpatrick 1st
Surtain is a 1st
I'm not arguing that Bama's DBs haven't been good because they certainly have been decent. Mckinney did have 90+ tackles (probably wouldve had 4 more if Clyde Edwards-Helaire didn't make him look like a fool.) However, with that being said I don't see Surtain being drafted in the 1st round. Why the hell were yall arguing about the defensive backs anyway? The truth is a lot of the players from Louisiana that ended up going to Alabama didn't do much while in college. Shyheim Carter wasn't what you would consider a great defensive back. He was just a defensive back that played for a respected team.
