Conversation between Kirk Herbstrieit and Chris Fowler. On a private jet, returning home after all the games late Saturday night. Gushing over the Tigers and the Tiger Stadium experience.

I swear I was about to post this exact same thing. Fowler and Herbie are pumped about the game and gushing over LSU

Let’s be real. CBS had first dibs on the SEC game of the week and they picked UGA and Tennessee. The night game fell to ESPN.
Not only was the LSU/Bama game one for the ages I guarantee it was a ratings bonanza. ESPN made bank on that game last night. They said some really nice things about LSU and I can appreciate that but IMO they are more pumped about the epic college football game they just had an opportunity to call.

Indeed, they were pumped about the game itself. But they’ve called their share of big games over the years. What they were gushing about is the experience of a big game IN TIGER STADIUM. It’s an experience like nowhere else. This coming from two guys who have been to many stadiums. THAT’S the selling point to recruits.

That’s my point, they were like OMG that was freaking awesome

If you have ever been to a good game in Tiger Stadium on a saturday nite, there is no sporting event like it anywhere in the world. It is electric. People do get goose bumps, and it is awesome.
How any recruit would want to go anywhere else is confusing.
