These were his words a week ago!!
“If (LSU) came back in the picture, I would respectfully tell them that I wouldn’t go there,’’ Clayton said. “If you want a kid, you want him regardless if he’s hurt or not. (What upset Clayton is) just the way that they did it, the way that they handled the situation.
“LSU is good where they’re at. They’re stacked at running back. They’re stacked at receiver. Their whole team is stacked. So they don’t need me. So I’m good.’’

He can feel however he wants but the culture in Louisiana needs to change regarding this shite. Just because you are from Louisiana and happen to be good at football, it doesn’t automatically mean LSU MUST make you a priority.

I hope I'm wrong but those kids on that team are really close. If Clayton is upset over his situation then I'm sure Van Prann is as well. Coach O would have to really pull a rabbit out of the hat to pull this one off!!

Let me add to this statement.
If these Louisiana recruits want to play this game. That LSU must make them a priority if they are good at football. Then the reverse of that MUST ALSO BE TRUE. These “good Louisiana players” MUST make LSU a priority. No more looking at Bama or Georgia when they come calling either then.
You think k they would go for that? I doubt it.

If LSU doesn't want you when it has pick of the litter, and they come back humbled after ESD, it's understandable that an instate recruit would he upset.
Also, it doesn't matter who you are, you don't want to feel like the back up plan. That goes for LSU and for recruits.

These HS players are mostly interested in schools where they think they will be starter. Why would would a recruit choose Georgia over LSU? Look what LSU has done to Georgia in the last 2 years !! Or why a WR choose Maryland over LSU? They just want to play immediately but that is not always a good reason.

Except we’ve been several players “backup plan” for years now. But you didn’t see LSU saying “if “player” comes back in the picture, we would respectfully tell him we don’t need you here. If you want to go to a certain school, you want to go to that school regardless if they are winning championships or not. “Player” is good where he’s at. He’s stacked with offers to play for other schools so he doesn’t need LSU”
