Army Practice updates...

a few of the LSU related updates from the AAG
Farrell and Talman report:
-- Odell Beckham, who is playing wide receiver, is running great routes and looks very fast.
Mike Farrell reports:
-- Running back Kenny Hilliard is playing at too high of a weight, and it is limiting his ability to move around on the field.
Early on today, Jermauria Rasco and Jason Gibson have stood out on the defensive line.
Kenny Hilliard just had a nice run, showing that when he gets going down hill, he is a load
very conflicting reports on Hilliard

Well Hilliard needs to play at around 230-235 and he's probably 240 at least. Despite whatever his size is, he is tough to tackle and runs like an animal.

Hilliard looked pretty quick in those RB vs LB vids, and made a really nice falling-down one-handed catch.
But the eye test says he does look thicker than he should look. For a second I thought it was Christain Okoye in Gold & White unis running pass routes.

I keep reading different articles on kenny h. but either way he will be a great running back for us

So with the updates, LSU has how many 5 star guys on board?
Still just 1?
Conspiracy!!!!

Hilliard will show out in the actual game. He may get the bump.

when I say updates I mean blog updates not star/ranking updates, they won't do that until after the games

If the idiots at espn would actually watch film on kids they would realize big Kenny compliments TyTy perfect. We've got the quickster coming in too.

I saw him in the Dome, and I though he instantly needed to drop some lb's. You can still play at 225-230 and not be where he's at.

I think he will get his weight in control and get in better shape once he gets at LSU and in Moffit's system.

The next Jacob Hester and Charles Scott.

We'll have atleast 2 5* guys in Johnson and Collins.Landry has as good a chance as anyone to get bumped up.Hilliard has a chance but i don't see it happening unless he explodes in the game which is unlikely since his team is way overloaded with 5 rbs.(the other team only has 3;I don't get it.I like the UA setup with only 2 per team better).
As for guys we're after Jernigan seams like a lock to move to 5*,Drew could possibly get there and Rasco could but it's not likely even though last year shows that guys can move way up and get the 5th *.Even if none of our guys get bumped up we have a great class coming in at the top.I like the depth as well.

What's conflicting? Basically they said he is too heavy which limitis his quickness but he had a nice run cause when going in a straight line he is tough.
It has been talked about since last year and it's time to stop dreaming it doesn't exist...he is too big to play everydown SEC running back. He has 2 choices, get in shape by losing lbs or change positions.
That being said, I think Moffit and Co. can handle any task as far as his weight goes, but maybe, just maybe, he is naturally a heavier guy and might not be the SEC type running back that everyone thinks...which isn't bad.....but things change and so do OC's, so who knows what system he MIGHT or MIGHT NOT play in at LSU.

HE is probably thinking bigger = better. But he can get his weight down i think.

I guess all the star talk is for Rivals.
I wish someone would break down Scout v Rivals, regarding accuracy. I noticed Scout ranked Andrew Luck a 5-star, and Rivals ranked him a 4-star. Maybe different services are better at judging different positions..? For the most part it seems even when you go back several years.
On another note, I have only seen limited video of Hilliard, and going on his measurements alone; is he anything like LaGarrette Blount?

The BEST thing that Hilliard has done is become an EE and will be at LSU once these all-american games are over.
By coming in early, Moffitt can get a hold of him sooner and get him going

True. This Spring & Summer will be HUGE for Hilliard.

Landry and Johnson most likely aren't going to get bumped to 5 stars simply because they play in the UA game and not AA. Rivals doesn't really get to see them dominating top competition, so I doubt they get the bump. If they played in the AA game, probably would be a sure thing.
