Armand Williams won the state high school high jumb for the second straight year with a final jumb of 6'8". With some expert coaching it would not surprise me to see him jumbing 7'. He is going to be a great wide reciever for LSU. That jumping ablity will translat to making plays and touchdowns. He is 6'3" and still growing.

i played high school with him and the word around slidell is that he works out before school and runs routes after school everyday...hes deff got the dedication to be good. i think billy gonzales will be good for him

I think this kid will be the surprise of the whole recruiting class... I'm from the northshore area, and I think a lot of kids get overlooked because of "competition" but a lot of talent and decent coaching comes from this area... this kid has the chance to be the next Dwayne Bowe with some extra weight on those bones via the Moffit system...

Not really....We lost Hunter and Davis, we knew Armand wanted to be a Tiger....We lost out on our other commits and went to the backup plan.

gonzales is a big reason we took him. he loved his tape and made an offer within days of seeing it.

I'm excited about Armand so this isn't a negative comment on him.

But I seriously doubt he'd be coming to BR if we had held Hunter and Davis.

You guys got Madrecaous Humphrey and that kid was a definite steal. He ran a 10.4 at the AHSAA State track meet...He catches everything and runs great routes...IMO he is a top 10-15 wr in the country. But Saban said he was too slow. Wow.

4 years down the road I think we will be glad we had to go with the backup plan. Raw speed is over rated. Colston is not exactly a speed merchant either but does pretty well for the Saints.

Armand and Hunter are similar IMO....Davis was in another league though.

Armand supposedly runs a 4.4 in the 40. I don't believe that personally. It could be true but he definitely doesn't look to have much acceleration at all.

Could just be one of those guys who gain speed as they go along and aren't quick in their first few steps.

The guy has a 41+ vertical. I can't believe he's not explosive.

I agree, I'm still heart broken over Davis, but Boone and WIlliams is almost equal to Davis and Hunter.
