I cannot believe people are down on this kid. I much rather go after this guy vs the 280 pound DE from MS (an OM lock btw) who can chunk the football.
If Art Briles sees something, then I'm all for giving the kid a shot.

Edit: If LSU is looking for an under the radar QB who isn't a big national name I would prefer them go into Texas and take a chance on someone. Seems as if a lot of guys get undervalued just based off the size of the State. Maybe recruiting services can't evaluate them all properly which makes perfect sense.

Mettsiah hopefully won't leave after one year to go to the NFL I don't believe we need a qb in this class

Not that I've seen. I personally like the skills that Briscoe has. The kid can throw the ball. Funny to think that this time last year he was among the top guys on our list of qbs. I can't say I'd take him though. Numbers are too tight but if the coaches want him then I'm fine with it.

You guys shouldn't sell Texas QBs short. I wish I had that article link again where it explained the success of all QBs who went to major BCS programs from Texas...
