No fking way he moves too unnatural for a lineman to see him being wasted at G. He needs to sit at T where he'll do all his damage. His reach and incredible agility is something that needs to be at T.

All Americans and Hall of Famers have started their college or pro careers at guard and moved to tackle when the time was right. I thought about it for 5 seconds and immediately was reminded of Lael Collins and Jonathan Ogden. Getting the 5 best on the field is what matters.

He will be cross trained at multiple positions. He will see the field early.

No one is saying his future is anywhere but OT, but it is really normal for future OTs to start at G, especially when the OT spots are occupied by very talented guys like we have at LSU.

I could see Heard at G next year and Jones at RT, then they switch in 2024.

It’s very hard and rare to start on the OL as a true frosh. And crazy that we had 2 this year. With our whole OL returning including Dillinger, my bet is Heard will sit a year.

I think that it will be hard for LSU to deny the starting experience and quality play from both true freshman Will Campbell and Emory Jones you still have Dellinger so I don't think it's absolutely crazy that her could be slid in at one of the guard positions. With his size and athleticism LSU is looking like the offensive line will no longer be an area of concern. It all starts up front and BK knows that.

No I get it. jones will be a beast at G or RT. His speed, strength, and experience (full year against SEC lineman) against interior lineman will be much needed. This is all assuming Heard can come in and play day 1 like Campbell and Jones did of course. If he can’t then Jones will stay at RT

Jones was recruited as a guard so he most likely moves inside.
