This is what I'm excited about, Canada's offense is built to get the ball out quick and get guys in open spaces, wide open and confuse the defense. You see lots of busted assignments against his offenses, even the best have a very hard time figuring out what's going on. Add to the fact that we are recruiting smart TEs and position players with his scheme and you will see lots of points and yards come along with it. That's big 6'7" TE we just offered is a genius when it comes to getting himself open. Even when he isn't open he's 6'7" so he's always open. This is what I'm most excited about with Canada, he will teach these QBs how to throw guys open and how to look off safeties, or how to see when a CB is on his man but head is turned that your WR is still open more times then not.
I've been waiting a long time for someone like this to run our offense and teach our QBs/WRs/TEs how to play college football. He's going to emphasize getting on the same page with everyone within the offense, so they can basically all read each other while on the go. Jumps balls, back shoulder throws, throwing guys open, looking off safeties, watching for the CBs position, RZ scoring, controlling the clock with uptempo, simplifying the offense, playing to LSUs personnel strengths / Defense's weaknesses, getting all personnel involved, power run, and a very complicated multiple look offense. These are all things that this offense is bringing with it and he's a master at running all these things within an offense. Oh yeah and we have freakn Dave Aranda!!! If you can't get excited for what is about to happen at LSU you are literally blind or have zero imagination. I can assure you the SEC is concerned about what LSU now has as compared to what we were putting out on the field.
Think about it, we were beating and competing with the mojority of the SEC with an old very predictable offense and somewhat on defense as well. This is going to drastically change this year and if they aren't concerned now they will soon be very very very concerned when the ball is kicked off. Every sec team is now saying DAMN LSU is great without all that talent on the sidelines and now they have the best coaches in the country on their side. All of our coaches were extremely sought after by the entire country and LSU had them for a few years at least. My hope is that when they do build this into a championship dynasty our coaches don't bolt right after winning one. I hope they want to build something special and hard to beat for a decade. Then they can all slowly take off for their own HC positions. O can find the next few up and comers. You have to give it to O, he knows how to spot talent, to play for him and also to help assist him in becoming a respected HC as well. GT I really believe we have something extremely special coming our ways peeps. IMO no one has the talent we do on the sidelines nowa days. Let's go take this shite over now!

Those who feel a true freshman will be our answer at LT are dreaming! KJ will start whether you like it or not. I also think AD will be a great player and maybe even a LT but not as a true freshman.
As far as Bama loading the box I agree that was not the case. What has been the case is Bama having ZERO worry about our passing game and therefore we're able to play "downhill" against LSU's one dimensional attack. A really big deal when you do this with NFL talent. If Canada can spread the field things will most certainly be different in '17

Deculus is a stud, no need to worry about that kid!

his will be our weak spot next year. Ingram and Charles look the part at guard. Still not sold on Deculus at LT. Hope im wrong but i see guard in his future. Stewart seems to be a project. Just seems that oline recruiting especially OT is our achilles heel. Does Grimes get a pass on this ?
I agree, wish we could get another couple of offensive tackles. We need true offensive tackles. It's probably too late to get one this year unless someone pulls a rabbit out their hat.
Anybody knows what it will look like next year, because we are going to have to get some, but nonetheless it would have been better to get some this year? We might have to go the Juco route.

No they were very heavy with 8 in the box. They'd roll one of their safeties into the box late.
This... I was about to post the same thing but you beat me to it

We have a huge transfer coming in that very few people know about yet that will be ready as soon as KJ is gone with two years to go.

Deculus will play RT until he's a senior.

Can we get a fricking hint at least?

Started for a playoff team, got hurt and having problems with trainers and position coach about keeping him out the rest of season when several doctors said hes good to go. Dad played pro and sec ball.

It will interesting to see how Canada's offense impacts the O Line. We don't have the horses we've had in the past but I think it will still be the most talented O Line Canada has ever had at his disposal.
Don’t have the horses we’ve had in the past? I don’t know about that. Last season according to several websites, LSU’s offensive line graded out the highest in the SEC. Our offensive line wasn’t the reason we lost to Alabama again, Les Miles’ horrible offense was the reason we lost again, as Alabama obviously knew all the plays we were going to run before the ball was snapped. Hence, it wasn’t hard for them to shut us out. However, those days have finally come to an end, as a new day has finally arrived in Baton Rouge, LA. Hallelujah.
I’ve been waiting to get rid of Miles for a long time. He never was a good coach from the get go. He was the beneficiary of the massive amount of talent Nick Saban left him when he first arrived on campus. With all of that talent, we won a lot of games despite Miles, and those victories created the false impression in people’s and recruit’s minds that he was far better than he was. Therefore, the recruiting remained good because everyone wanted to play for the state flagship university and for the vaunted Les Miles. However, Miles started slowly losing more and more games we shouldn’t have lost and it started becoming more and more apparent that he wasn’t a good coach, and consequently, he ended up being fired. Incidentally, being a bad coach does not equate to being a bad person. I like Les Miles as a human being. However, I never liked him as a coach because he never was a good one.
Well, hopefully Canada’s new offensive scheme will employ creative formations, misdirection plays, counter plays, and shovel passes in the running game that we didn’t do previously to keep Bama’s defense off balance and to force them to play us far more honestly as opposed to selling out and daring us to pass as in the past few seasons, and hopefully the passing game can spread them out and we can surprise them with some quick hitting passes for long games and then hit them with a long pass when they are expecting a short pass, or with a shuttle pass or a draw play in blitzes. We also need to employ screenplays and jet sweeps as well.

I sure hope so. Dont see it yet, but I do hope you're right. I feel like that is something we have severely needed for years now to be a serious contender.

At worst, he is a right tackle, I still have hope he'll end up on the left side

I'll take the word of the scouts at UA practice over your opinion of Deculus. Some of you will never be happy.
