I have many family members and friends and their kids attend a lot of the private schools in NOLA. None of them deny the recruiting. They all laugh and know it goes on. No problem. Just play people that do it also. I played at Cleary and almost every coach I had there was affiliated with some private school. I was recruited fo Curtis from my 11/12 football team and 3/4 of the team went to Curtis or Rummel after Cleary. Every playground was the same way.

If you are talking about coaches, they were underlings that were paid by schools to find prospects. It has been going on forever. #1 it is illegal. It is called recruiting. I guess you don’t understand what recruiting is and the rules in HS. Seems as though morals and integrity go out the window when you want to win. Christian schools operating without either is funny. Just win baby!!!

As far as going to St. Christopher, my friends boys were offered scholarships in 2nd and 3rd grade to a well known private school on Northshore and one on East bank. They now attend the one on the east bank. Free tuition. I’m well versed on what goes on.

EJ won State in 2015 with 20 seniors on the roster that lived in Bonnabel’s district. Salt was ago getter and since Bonnabel had a D or F rating, kids were allowed to switch schools.
A lot of the public school Coaches are lazy. There is no reason they can’t be on the playgrounds just like the privates.

It is illegal, IN HIGH SCHOOL.
LHSAA has no control over middle schools or junior highs, so it is NOT against any rules to “recruit” kids in these grades.
Why do you think all of the Catholic Schools even added 8th grades?
You’re the one that desn’t understand, son.

if you’re talking about Cleary, it’s probably in Rummel’s legal zone, so they can do “recruiting” activities there. I don’t have the JP maps in front of me right now.

But we have the split more due to attendance zones than we do recruiting. You can recruit and change your program over time. Kids want to play at prestigious programs. However, we can’t easily change the rules that keep out of zone kids from going to most public schools. Those are state laws and not LHSAA rules

None of that matters if you’re getting them before 9th grade.

If you’re talking about Rummel, you’re full of shite. Rummel is under the Archdiocese’s thumb, they’re not giving a free ride to anyone....

So, it’s not against the rules, but you’re crying about it. Your husband must be embarassed by you.

Cheat and win. How proud you must be. Have it your way. They cheat and that’s all it is too it. Cheat kids at that. My bad - not scholarships but tuition assistance. Too bad the 5th string RB at Miley doesn’t get offered tuition assistance. Haha.

so they’re just leveling the field from the 8,000-10,000 hole they start in per kid

Bonnabel/Walker will be a unbelievable matchup, with Cook vs. the most consistent team in the state the last 5 years. Feels like it’s Bonnabel’s year to finally cut down the nets but we shall see.

Let LSU recruit Baton Rouge only and let Bama recruit nationally and the uproar in this board would burn it to the ground after we lose every game out of the next 100

This is your go-to line huh?

No one cared the first four times you posted it previously in the thread.

Dunn is at North Desoto KILLING it. Dude went 10-0 with a freshman qb, and lost the state championship game by 3 , and that qb had 3 picks lol. Louie Cook won a title at Crowley before he went back to coach college. He literally won the same rates for both.

The biggest crock of shite is the reclassification at playoff time from bigger to smaller classifications. 2A Oak Grove, DeQuincy, Mangham will play real life 1A schools with 80- 100 less kids come playoff time despite being in a 2a district all year. Needless to say they are winning championships every year in multiple sports.
