Links?

The one report I recall from the Elite 11 indicated he was head and shoulders the best QBs in the nation this year. That is the one place where the best QB are in one place and compared. However you chose to ignore that and the fact he is still rated at minimum the number 2 QB in the nation. You would rather take a pass on him. Real suspicious reasoning.

You wanted Gunner but not Winston who is arguably as good or better?

anyone who says they don't want winston is simply lying to them self. Debate his potential all you want, but he's damn sure a better prospect than Liggins.

This. Liggins will be one of the biggest (literally) projects at LSU

He looked like JJ to me.

I want Liggins as an ATH but he doesn't look like a QB.

if he doesnt practice well he wont see the field under miles.
we can talk memes all we want to about seniors/athletic qbs/etc but one thing is for sure: you better bring in on the practice field if you have a want to play for miles

I'm probably in the minority, but I genuinely think Alford is slightly more college-ready than Winston. Winston has the higher ceiling mostly due to frame, but in the little I've seen of both, Alford seems to be the better athlete, have the quicker release, and makes quicker decisions in the pocket (especially when committing to tuck it and run).

Unfortunately, Alford stands zero chance of ever seeing a college field. At least there is some hesitation with Winston and the MLB

Kiel > Winston. Period. Winston is an amazing athlete, but he's just like any dual threat guy out of high school, raw and unpolished.

He's not a Tebow or a Cam.

Of the two, Alford seems more likely. I think Winston will play college ball (simply because Winston's measurables project so well to playing on Sunday).

Is anyone else terrified of a run/pass threat?

Both of those may be true at this current time. However no one is a tebow or cam besides tebow or cam and the Kiel ship has sailed. Why would you turn your nose up at the top rated qb in the nation because he might be arguably less polished than a guy who screwed over your recruiting class?

Opposing defenses?

Take away draft hype and who was better in college-Cam or Luck?

No. Then again I don't let one shitty player ruin how I evaluate other individuals.

I don't either but I can evaluate how that type of talent gets used. I would rather have liggins running the Mullins power spread than a thinner guy running option. Then again, I think he is playing the ZL role, and just increasing his value. This conversation is probably pointless.
