Thanks for the quotes. At the least, Bama should make it interesting.

If I can try to be impartial, it would be hard to convince me if I'm a stud WR recruit to go to Bama. Last season with a seasoned vet at QB, they basically pounded the ball with one of the most vanilla offenses in the country. It sure worked out in the win column, but if I'm having to share very few receptions with Julio, I'm giving more thought to OU than Bama.

Interesting nonetheless.

If I was a 5* WR, I'd just compare Terrance Toliver and Julio Jones. Who would you want to be?

I would be smart enough to compare the depth in front of the two... you know... Doucet, LaFell, and Byrd. Arguably one of the deepest receiving corps in the nation in 2007 and one of the most talented duos in 2008.

Julio Jones started as a freshmen and TT played this year. I think overall Julio is a better reciever.

That's just an excuse. Byrd was garbage this year. Toliver was the #1 receiver in his class and he hasn't done jack shite. Doucet also got hurt his senior year.

Julio's got about 2x the receiving yds that Toliver has in 1 less year. Toliver is on the brink of being a bust.

I think I would agree with you if I had to pick one simply because of Julio's strength. He's a more dominant, possession receiver.

In terms of ability in a vertical passing game though, Toliver has the ability to be one of the most dangerous deep threats in the country with his height and speed. We saw glimpses of this in 2007 with QBs that could actually get the ball downfield. We'll find out soon enough how he reacts to becoming the #1 option overnight.

But I don't think that is Tolivers fault. If Toliver were at Alabama he would have played all year long across from Julio. I am starting to think that Randle is seeing the light and wants to come to Alabama. Randle will ride the pine at LSU for at least the first year.

Julio wouldn't have started at LSU this year. It's hard to imagine, I know... but it's just the truth. LSU plays veterans... it's a simple truth.

Toward the end of the season, Toliver got much more involved in the offense. It'll be fair to judge him after this season.

...and I think that if Miles has a flaw this is it. I like coach Miles and I think he does a good job but I have to believe that sometimes he has much better talent sitting on the bench.

With the way the LSU offense was going all year long I think he should have given Jefferson a chance much sooner than he did. He let JJ sit on the bench and then blew the redshirt at the end of the year. Just my opinion.

I think randle would be a starter at lsu this year. Would you rather start at lsu and be the main man, or be in julio's shadow for the next 3 years?

I totally agree JJ should have been playing all along... but Toliver didnt play b/c Byrd and Lafell were better receivers IMO.... has nothing to do with how many stars he had coming out of high school.. that means nothing once on campus.

This is gonna flame bama fans, but i think julio is gonna be a bust next year. i dont think they have a decent qb to throw to him next year. i predict bama to finish 4th in the sec west. as someone says on here book it.

Just b/c Bammer didn't have any other recivers doesn't mean that LSU is in the same boat. Byrd didn't have a good year but that was also a little qb issue too.

Byrd and Doucet were awesome last year. If you don't think so just re-watch your loss to us.

Your ability to see nothing but $aban's balls in your face is astounding.

You also think the LSU will be in contention for the NC too. The Tiger Rant will better suit your needs. Julio Jones is better than any WR on LSU's roster.

They will especially since Reuben Randle comes to Tiger town. Here's another to ruffle your feathers Luckylee. I predict Jones season finishes in the LSU game when Craig Loston lays the shite on him.
