I can see not taking a third RB in Parker but would love to wrap up the WR class with Washington joining Wright and Manchild with the Vegas kid.

All the SEC teams backed off. Not sure the exact reason, but i’m guessing behavior issues or just isn’t as good as everyone originally thought

I don’t think the staff was quite as high on him as his ranking would indicate. I don’t think it was an accident that every time you’d hear an update on him from our insiders, it was always framed along the lines of “they could get him on board in no time *if* they decided to push”. Reading between the lines, I think that was their way of saying that he was more interested in us than we were in him. It seems like a few of the other programs involved in his recruitment felt the same. In any event, that follows our general pattern this cycle.
It seems that this cycle our strategy has largely been to go all out for the absolute top-tier of out-of-state talent and to otherwise focus our efforts on Louisiana kids. Essentially, it seems like the staff doesn’t want to get caught up battling big-time programs for out-of-state talent unless the kid is *really* a stud - because we have the luxury of being able to “fall back” on some pretty great in-state talent that we can land without a ton of difficulty, allowing us to allocate our resources on the big guys at the top.
