He's being recruited by us primarily as a limebacker

Akers or bust for the staff it seems like. And I'm fine with that. Would mean an even harder push for Fabian Franklin and the kid in Covington for 2018. Assuming they both get offers, etc.

Wasn't Steven Ridley a Miss. Boy? He turned out pretty well.

Natchez is closer to Baton Rouge than either Starkville or Oxford, & Ridley went to a small private school, the Natchez area and the Gulf Coast have been good to LSU. Jackson hasn't.

I know Patrick Queen is listed as an ATH, but when he first committed I heard he was probably going to play RB. I could see him at Safety, but we have 2 top Safeties now.
At 6'1" 215 lbs. I think he could be like an Alfred Blue, deceptively fast and able to slip through slim blocked holes.

. Stanislaus is a boarding school. I have no idea where Myles Brennan actually lives. But Bay St. Louis seems like an odd place to relocate after Katrina.
First, Stanislaus isn't strictly a boarding school. When I graduated in 04, there were about 150 boarders out of about 600 students. Also, while relocating to BSL after Katrina is odd, it's full of Nola area transplants. A lot of people move there to get out of the city.
ETA: The Brennan's live in Waveland next door to one of my best friends. He talks to Myles and the parents very often. Myles was close to committing to Ok State before the LSU offer. Don't expect a decommit from him.

Patrick queen is a linebacker at premier sec level programs. Hell, devin white would beat him out...Patrick queen wouldn't even be the best running back out of lsu's linebacker corp. I'm not trying to be a smartass, it just gives you insight as to what kind of athletes take the field for lsu...at every position.

Is there any chance that Bruce Jordan-Swilling gets offered as a RB?
Posted on 8/19/16 at 8:41 am to crkelly91
Swilling is more of a LB to me. Don't sleep on Clyde E-H though. Freak athlete

I just watched the kids highlight tape for the first time and I have to say CEH looks like a damn good back. I'm glad we picked him up. Very shifty, has great acceleration, speed, can lay a hit and make you miss. I like him alot

I think we want a big back to go with CEH from Catholic. I know they really wanted Swilling but thinking we can always move Devin White back to RB if we can get some LB recruits and if the freshman LB plays well this year and Moses can step right in and start.

Devin White should start at ILB next year, maybe even this year. If we have to move him to RB we have big problems at RB.

Nah. Gonna move David Ducre back to RB.

Actually, I've always thought Ducre could develop as LB, but that is just me.
