I understand your argument. But turn that around. It may be a strange concept to the OTHER people that kids DO live and die by what they read on the internet. Like I said in th last long post on Surtain. Consider the generation.

These new recruits were all born in 2000 and beyond....they’ve known nothing but the internet

Oops, You left out the part that I don't bash recruits the LSU staff has worked for years to sign.

If the kid was going to ASH. Would he get all the hate he does? Does he get bashed just because of his hometown?

I am glad I don't live in my hometown but if you start talking shite about it I will take offense. Growing up it is all I knew. My family, friends, LIFE, everything I knew and loved growing up was originated in my hometown. This kid gets constantly bashed for no reason other than where he is from.

People make up shite to bash him about. LSU fans suck.

O is doing a great job IMO, but if I was an opposing coach I would have his Ole Miss record and every other failure he has ever had on the tip of my tongue..ready to go when the moment is right. I can promise you it takes Saban about 30 seconds to cast doubt on O and his abilities. I doubt they hear Sabans assessment and still log in to see how ol Tigerfoot feels.

Everyone around the deal has said he was going to Bama for a long time.

Yes, we thought Bama may be out of room, and yes we were getting hosed taking a package deal to get him. But that was for a very short period of time.

The huge majority of posts about him on this board have been how he was a HUGE talent and a great need for this class, LSU fans have clamored over him for over a year, in spite of him seeming to desire to go to Bama.

Any one putting this on the fan base is trying to re write history. For the entirety of his recruitment he was spoken of as the best player in the state by most. Only for a brief period of time was he criticized, and that was led by the independent evaluators....you dont like being minimized, go talk to all the non LSU fans that are dropping you in the rankings.

This board tends to represent a small and often extreme section of the LSU fan base primarily due to the emotion that develops around wanting these recruits to attend LSU.

The range of LSU and college football fans goes from those that know everything about recruiting, rankings, commits, etc. to fans that hardly know players names.

The folks on this board trade in the currency of recruiting, commitments and alleged “inside knowledge” (though few actually have any). With that as a backdrop, you are going to see wild speculation about recruits, intentions, commitments, etc. At times, the comments can reflect negatively on the fan base - be it LSU’s or any other program. Not condoning it all, but acknowledging the reality of it.
