This is awesome. So exciting to know that we will have a solid D Line for years to come. Will any of them convert or be able to play DE? We really need it there.

I would hold off on saying years to come. You have to be able to keep them all here and satisfied with enough playing time and spotlight.

Op is just curious if any DT will be able to move over to DE. That’s all.

And I would assume that Lamar will get a chance to try whatever he wants. And they would put you at a more even 10 DT and 8 DE.

SDE
Gabriel Reliford jr
Dylan Carpenter jr
—-Lamar Brown fr
—-De Anthony Lafayette fr

NT
Sydir Mitchell jr
Zion Williams so
Brandon Brown so
---Richard Anderson fr
——Darryus McKinley fr

DT
Dom McKinley jr
Ahmad Breaux jr
Shone Washington sr
Walter Mathis so
——Deuce Geralds fr

WDE
Kolaj Cobbins so
CJ Jackson so
Damien Shanklin so
---Trenton Henderson fr

That is an impressive list when you think about what was there 3 years ago.

Only thing missing on that list is a stud WDE. Every other position has talent piled up. Up to Coach Williams now!

Ok. From what I read they were listed as DT. my bad if some are DE’s.
Yes, I did say years to come. Obviously, there will likely be a transfer or two and maybe 1 -2 doesn’t pan out. That’s assuming they all ACTUALLY sign on the dotted line.

Shanklin, wde was the top player from Missouri last year and Henderson is the top wde from Florida this year? And then we have Cobbins and Jackson

The best takeaway is that Peoples and Williams are top talent magnets. Certainly, there's nothing suggesting that we aren't going to match these coaches allure with top money. When the dollars line up, where these coaches develop NFL talent becomes pivotal.

Think Lafayette is also a WDE. Long arms for sure but his height is gonna limit his frame in terms of weight. I'd be more inclined to believe Henderson will pack on the bulk better than Lafayette. Meaningless long run though. Football is so situational these days that anyone could play anywhere. More likely our true SDE in most sets is a kid that would have been a DT in the past and shuffles between the 2 spots. Reliford is the most natural SDE on the roster imo.
