Phillips is a OLB. Granier is a pure MLB, Lamar Louis could play there as well, but he will probly be an OLB, Feist could play either inside or outside, Torshiro could be either OLB or DE depending on how much weight he can gain.
You seem knowledgeable yamamma. What factors are looked at to determine these kids projected position in college. For instance, feist, torshiro, and Devall are all listed at de but only Devall actually projects at de for lsu at this point. Is it because he's already approaching 240?

Devall is already at about 255. Feist is up to 230, and will be playing MLB for his high school this year. Shiro is about 230, but his pass rushing ability could alow him to put on 20 pounds and play DE at LSU, which is what I think will probably happen. But guys like Louis, Otha Peters, Feist, and Lorezo Philips are all in the 210 to 225 range and are definate LBers for LSU.
And I think the reason Shiro and Feist are listed as DEs is because the only film of them to base rankings on is of them playing DE for their HS teams.

JMO but I don't think Devall goes to LSU. I think Arky, Bama or A&M.
Again, nothing fact based here. Just my guess

But if we are going to definately take another DE along with Shiro, and Devall is our number one guy (other than maybe Channing Ward-long shot there) I just dont see how an OOS school is going to come in and steal him. We all thought the same thing with Rasco "oh he never talks about LSU or he skips out on recruiting functions" but in the end the home state pull won him over. I just dont see how that wont happen with Devall, especially considering the Bastrop lineage to LSU.

How often do you make decisions based without facts?
It's Lsu or A&M for Devall. Thats what I have read.

Yamamma, I'm not doubting you, but just curious, how are you privy to their current weights? I'm just asking because I've seen Devall listed in the 230s and Feist around 215. Also, what do you know about Lloyd Grogan. Sounds like another potential LB prospect.

A friend of mine who is an assisstant at Bastrop told me he is weighing about 250 to 255 range. Said hes put on about 10 pounds of muscle this offseason. And in Feist's latest recruiting video interview he said he's gained 15 pounds and is now 230. I dont really know much about Grogans, but I'm pretty sure there are alot of LBers ahead of him this year

Auburn gave him the I-pod, we just provided the earphones.

Thanks yamamma. Sounds good to me.

I think Bourque, Phillips, Devall and Collins are the ones to worry about at this point. The first three seem open to possibly leaving. I just put Collins on there because he is bluechip.

Yamamma, another question. Since you have a friend who is an assistant at Bastrop, does he give you any feel for LSU's chances with Devall? Based on what I've read up to now, it seemed like he's leaning A&M. Hope we can get him.

He's just like Rasco IMO.. he will talk about other schools and skip out on visits to LSU and stuff but in the end he will go with the home state school. He likes us for sure though

I think Borque will come around eventually, Phillips will be here if we want him, Devall will be alot like Rasco, and Collins will come play over the top of his boy Dwayne Thomas

Now that's what I like to hear! Thanks!

With this type of confidence I will sleep well tonight.
Great day and many more great ones to come.

I like our chances with all 4 as well. I feel real good about everyone outside of Devall. I i want devall and If we lose Devall it would be a loss but its manageable since he projects at de and Lsu is currently loaded at that position.

Not sure if we offered Alonzo Williams yet. Chavis compared him to Shaun Ellis according to my source, who is EXTREMELY reliable and believes that he will be a 1st rounder. They love him!!!! Wilson is recruiting him as well. As of last week, my source believes that Williams would commit to aTm if signing day were today. Luckily, signing day isn't until Feb., so we still have plenty of time.
