The mistake a lot of LSU fans will make next year is comparing Brennan to Burrow and not remembering it took Burrow 2 years to get to the top of his game. I think Brennan will have a few hiccups his first year in the SEC but I believe by his senior year he will also be in the Heisman conversation.

Anyone that saw that hug between Brennan and O Saturday should know all the need to know. The staff loves the kid. Unless he completely shits the bed he will be our starter next year. Better options than King will be out there anyway.

Should have watched him the year before, he was amazing. The whole team fell off a cliff when the coaches changed. They wanted to change up the way he played and it threw him off. I'm still team Brennan, but King would kill it in a good offense.

Didn’t King keep Trask on the bench in HS? Trask looked pretty good against us. I’m pretty sure King can play in the SEC.

King was 11-15 for 82yds and a score. He rushed 10 times for 82yds and a score. He left the game early third with an injury.

King could play at MSU, Ole Miss, Kentucky maybe. He doesn't fit our offense, he's not a guy who is going to toss it around 35-40 times a game effectively making tough accurate throws in the process. He needs to go to an offense that will let him run it 10-15 times a game.
It doesnt take long watching King play to realize as a passer he's pretty limited in what you can do with him. He's pretty never played a good defense and threw well against it. He's an incredible athlete though, if he wants the NFL to notice him I'd absolutely switch to WR/RB his final year somewhere. No NFL team is seriously looking at a 5'9 QB with limited passing capability.

HS starters sometimes have more play into them than just talent. Also helps having your best athlete at qb at that level many times. Maybe King is better than Trask but I wouldn't use who started as the only barometer.
