What is the situation on interior D lineman? Is there anyone that we are looking at in high school or the portal?

interior DL is a concern. Bama is staking up with those and we dont have even on interior DL committed. Scary

I believe it’s 1279 total players in the portal because that number isn’t changing when I swap positions

This is like those Les Miles recruiting classes…where you would have 5 guards and no offensive tackles

The only good news …is that we’ve got Maason Smith and Mekhi Wingo who are probably the best defensive tackles we’ve had since Michael Brokers and Bennie Logan

anyone know this kid from Watson, LA - Jalen Lee ? Went to Live Oak, LSU offered and class of 2020, impressive list. at 6'3" 294# he would definitely eat up blocks. Someone closer to this kid may know if he's worth an offer, or a hard pass.
Stats and career 411 from his time at UF has 2 years left, and started the first 3-4 games this year. Kid may be homesick and looking for a change of scenery. Perhaps he had a falling out with his new position coach that came in with the Napier staff ... I have no clue , just thinking out loud.

If we can throw a big enough bag of money at Roy I think he would stay. I don't think he has a day two grade yet though I could be wrong. If he were to stay we would be good for 2023 depth wise...but we very much need to bring in some youthful depth to start developing for 2024.

what disgusts me is that Alabama is gonna land 2 more 5 star DLs and finish yet again above 320 on 247
