Kiyaunta Goodwin

Anyone saw the former 5 Star OT from Kentucky in the portal?

Not sure the actual info on him.

Anyone know if he is any good? Kentucky had a down year. Just wondering if he’s worth a take?

I'd love more big uglies, but why would a LT come to LSU where we have 2 super frosh tackles that are probably going to start for 4 years.

In theory, one of those guys was suppose to come in play guard.

I'd imagine he could still slide inside.

That said, I don't see it, but a guy could dream.

I think Emery is more built like a guard, wouldn’t mind to bring this guy in for competition. I think the eventual idea is Campbell at LT, Jones at RG and Heard at RT

247 Article re: Goodwin to portal

Excerpt from article:

"There was some thought Goodwin would be the Cats immediate starting left tackle but that wound up not being the case as he opened the season as the backup to David Wohlabaugh and then remained the second string left tackle behind Kenneth Horsey the remainder of the season.

He saw some offensive line snaps at the end of blowout wins over Miami (Ohio) and Youngstown State, but most his playing time came as a blocker on special teams. In total, he played 11 games."

As between these three guys, the one most built like a guard is campbell. There is no chance he moves given that he was an above avg SEC LT as a true freshman, but if you’re talking purely about build, it’s clearly campbell who is the least “tackle-like”. The other two guys have absolute go-go gadget arms

Been discussed on the Portal Thread since yesterday. Join in, pinned at top of page.

"I was jazzed till I look into him some. What I've read says we went 380 this whole season and only played on FG/PAT's."
