But they kept Travis hunter as a 5 star when he played at Jackson state. That made zero sense to me

Eh no neither one played at a 3 star level. You seem like an On3 shrill.

And your girlfriend has a shill voice.
And - you're full of shite.
I've been over each of the 3 sites at least a dozen times a day making sure the information that is put on the the Transfer Portal Discussions sticky on this Board is correct.
I give less than a shite about which site actually is the most timely and - realistically - the accuracy of each of the site's projections are pure conjecture.
On3's updates on who enters the portal and when they commit/sign is consistently faster than the other two.
Their HS and Transfer Star ratings are right there to see making the comparison from their HS ratings to the kid's projected Transfer rankings after actually performing in college clearer than the others.

And WTF do you consider a 3 star level? Wingo is a great player but to say he's a 5 star is unrealistic. Aside from the fact that we LSU folks love the guy, he's a 4 star and a very very good player in a very very good Conference.
His Transfer rating last year was 90 (a 2.8 improvement over his HS grade) based on a stout freshman season in the SEC. He was the second highest rated DL in last year's portal with that 90.
JJ is tied as the 7th highest rated DL this year and there are 5 guys with 90 or better scores. Meaning the DL class this year is considerably deeper this season all things considered.
You might say that 87 rating is considered an average score and is a slight to our guy but you have to look deeper.
JJ is coming off a very good Jr season in the Big 12. His Transfer score of 87 is 5.5 pts better than his HS score. That improvement based on his performance is what - for the most part - P5 teams are looking for. To say the 87 rating is too low is conjecture based on far less data than what the 3 services offer and what many fail to realize is just how good an average SEC player is.
I'm certainly hoping that his production translates exactly to the SEC game but if he turns out to be an average to slightly above average SEC player at LSU I'll be happy.
But am I hoping for an all SEC performance from the guy? Oh, yeah!
