With $5 million, why not just go buy a well established college quarterback? Like a Cam Ward from last year

If you sign a loi, you agree to attend that school for one academic year and other schools can’t recruit you.

If he is coming to lsu so vehemently, why doesn’t he shut down recruitment??

On October 9, 2024, the NCAA Division I Council voted to eliminate the National Letter of Intent (NLI) program, marking a significant shift in college sports recruiting. The NLI, which has been a cornerstone of college recruiting, was a binding agreement high school athletes signed to officially commit to a university

We pay for football players as much or more than Michigan does and have for a very long time. Your point is stupid as frick.

Letters of intent are meaningless in this day and age. NCAA is doing away with them when revenue sharing starts. He can sign his LOI and if he doesn’t like it in Baton Rouge he can request his release or transfer before even playing.

It’s not 5 million per year. It’s like 1 million per year. If they leave after 3 years, they don’t get the 5 million.

And do what? Sign then negate then sign again.

Why not just come out and shut it down? Because money talks over everything. If he wanted to all he has to do is tweet something similar to what top baseball prospects do at draft time, “I’ve decided to pull out of draft and will attend so and so college”

He can absolutely do that. Julian Sayin did. He didn’t like Saban retiring. He hit the portal in January after signing in December. Then signed with Ohio state.

I just love having a debate with people that love something so much, all practicality and common sense (that they may have or not have had to start with) disappear in their posts.

You love and worship lsu football so much, you think 18 year old kid who has never been told no thinks as highly of lsu as you do.

If I offer you $1 million bonus, higher commissions, give you best leads/prospects possible, and tell you the villages of Florida his now your client and yours only to sell health and life insurance to, you wouldn’t come work for my insurance company?

Dropping f bombs and cursing people
Is ghetto, dctiger1.

Alters lol, you’re so butthurt right now.

Yes, your grammar is on point!

I honestly do not understand what you’re talking about? You’re playing devils advocate about why he hasn’t shut down recruitment. All I said to you was what the frick are you talking about in regards to Ryan perriloux vs Jayden Daniel’s and you said some dumb shite about the soccer board.

Whatever Michigan's endowment or academic funds are have nothing to do with NIL. You’re all over the place in this topic and make zero sense.

Where did I say anything like that? I said why would he go to Michigan if the money is EQUAL.

My points are:

-kid has not done anything on campus and is being crowned first triple heisman candidate (much like perrilloux). Yea I know Jayden was a transfer. My point is what is chances underwood will be next Jayden Daniel’s? Prob very minimal ? Prob close to same as ending up like Brandon Harris or perrilloux

-it’s always about the money; always

-my endowment/funds comment was only
To show money is not really an obstacle to Michigan and their $400 million athletic budget

-soccer board was just a joke
